Perfectly summed up the difference between people that legitimately need help and people that can't face the consequences of their actions. I use to work in security. The homeless and drug addicts I never got mad at (aside from when they bite) I pitied them as they were in a bad situation. Now the students and career criminals. Them fuckers I hate. Students because they thought stealing was a game and would start literally crying when caught and career criminals because they blamed everyone but themselves

I spent 10 years deluding myself under martial arts being the answer to everything and now in my 30s I'm properly medicated, in therapy, and gradually returning to the world of fitness and martial arts as a matured person. I regret losing the ideal decade for fitness growth but I can impart that knowledge to friends and students who want it, so it is not a total loss.

A great anime example of what was talked about is a tennis anime titled Baby Steps. The main character is constantly taking notes in order to improve, even going so far as to take notes every time there's a rest break in a match and analyzing his opponent's patterns to predict what they'll do. This on top of practicing every technique relentlessly in order to steadily improve his basic skills. Dude learned to study before he considered sports, and it became the cornerstone of his success.

Love you, Jax. Maybe you could make a video about different natural types of physique and how it impacts the way you are going to look after training, like, some people have well-defined abs, while for others their stomach is just a sturdy slab of muscle with a bit of an outline, you know what I mean. People need to know that it's ok and natural. Now excuse me, I'm going to test my 6'7 body by accelerating all 105+ kg of it's ripped glory and keeping up said speed for long enough to travel around the block. I love doing that.

Yo Jaxblade, I have massive respect for you been subscribed for a while now, and I'm always trying to test my body, like my sophomore I started did track which was 90% cardio then 10% core but I was trying to gain some size, so during my junior year at one point I did 100 push-ups a day for 30 days and I got somewhere but towards the middle to end of my Junior year I did some lifting and put on a good couple of pounds with all the eating I was doing, over the course of 4 months I got to an ok size but I still haven't reached my goals, my Senior year I did wrestling which was massive amounts of cardio like 97% cardio 1% working out and 2% sparring/wrestling with each other and it did some good for me I ended the season with visible abs and very minor decrease in size and now I still haven't reached my goals yet but I'm trying everyday I try to test myself and push myself to becoming a better version of myself, I don't have access to a gym at the moment so I workout at home and so far it's keeping my muscle and but I'm still starting to feel weak like I'm losing strength so I gotta find a way to come back even stronger and better and to maintain it as well

Fantastic topic! I'm a competitive runner, but I love lifting weights. I love the grind of lifting after runs. I searched and searched for programs to accommodate this kind of training to ensure that I'm doing it "right", but refuse to give up any time doing either, as the programs suggest. Instead, I've worked on listening to my body during both activities and managing intensity during such high frequency (training 7 days a week). My lifts are going up and my 5k time continues to go down. Great video.

You should format your notes into a book. Id be ecstatic to read all the information in fitness you've found over the years. Ive done a lot of cross training myself with gymnastics, yoga, martial arts, breakdancing and parkour, and i agree that there is no 'one training fits all method'. I look foward to the next video. Stay awesome✌

......I heard about the whole crazy tide pod crap, but jumping off cliffs and lighting themselves on fire????!!!!! WHAT THE HECK😳😱😳😱!!!! When I hear that kind of stuff, maybe it's bad but I blame the parents for not teaching their kids self respect and common sense. Principles and a good foundation start and continue from the home..... but then I think again...they cant teach what they dont have maybe🤔..... I dont know.😔😥😑. Just very very sad. That stuff really shocked me....what the heck... Anyway, JaxBlade, you are one of my favorite KZbinrs!! You are right on in your rant and your feelings are mutual!! Keep up your good work!

You're so passionate when you speak about what you like. This is really inspiring. On the past month I was able to lose 5kilos through dedication in exercises and mainly in diet, and I love watching your content. Body fat still at 20,3% and my ultimate goal is to have abs and arround 13% body fat and BMI at 27,5. Still a long way to go, but I'll get there. Keep up the passion!

Love how real you got! I don't know where I could post questions/ suggestions for you to possibly see, but I'll give it a try here. Do you have or considered making a video of equipment people can get for home workouts? Even if it isn't a full blown home gym, recommendations would be awesome! Or making a video to help people find the kind of martial arts they would be into? Like, do you want to defend yourself utilizing mostly grapples, train in this. Etc... If you really wanted to, it could even incorporate Avatar/ Korra as visual guides. Any show based on fighting techniques works, too. Also, a massive thank you for being a huge influence of showing me that I can do something for myself! I have a long way to go, but I'm elated from the progress I've made. I'm still not in epic hero status, but I'll get there. Keep it real!

@jaxblade you should do a follow up called rest your body (or something) with ways to recognize overtraining and how to remedy those issues before they get too far.

I've never read it but the comic Luther Strode is about the outlier concept in direct correlation with training and it's a pretty cool concept. Basically dude wants to get buff to get the girl, follows ad in newspaper and gets old school training method, hes one of the few throughout history who's been able to use it properly and he becomes superhuman in essence. Thought it would peak your interest. Love your content keep goin strong bro!
