Pete said in an interview that Dilla best him. To me both are great I like them more than premo, pete and Dilla are more soulful oriented my taste. Premo is more rap oriented style of beats

Yea he would often turn off quantization when programming his drums which gave them a real offbeat feel like a real person playing the drums it’s really amazing
