I revisit this song quite often every year. I remember the day I was put on to SV in 2006 same year he passed. I always heard his beats but never knew it was him “that sound, that archetype “ then I started researching him to only be sadden by his passing that same year. Since then been digging through all of his works from the Pharcyde, Tribe Called Quest, Busta Rhymes, Common. Easily my favorite producer and rapper combo of all time. No one comes close. R.I.P. Spacek hired Dilla for a remix, he didn't know what to do with it and even offered it to Karriem Riggins to see if he had any ideas. He dragged his feet for as long as he could until he made the track before the deadline. House Shoes fell out laughing at first when he heard the acapella but was floored when he heard the finished beat.
