Part of being a good backup is exactly what Jay said, you need to be a great teammate and typically you can help coach the first string QB especially if they're new with the system without being a threat to their job. Case in point is Chase Daniel .. dude had 8 career TD passes and played for more than a decade and earned $41.8M but he showed up everyday and from what ppl have said, he was an amazing teammate and very knowledgeable about the playbook and had the respect to give information to the QBs ahead of them. A lot of QBs won't take advice from a backup unless theyre proven. Chase Daniel is the epitome of shit up and do your job.
@33moneyballАй бұрын
Actually agree on 90’s era Arena ball…it was clear something was there as an adjunct to real football. It worked cause it was viewer friendly and simultaneously similar yet radically different compared to full blown NFL/college football. Could’ve been a much better version of these other leagues that constantly pop up and fail, offering more dudes the opportunity to make $, develop some talent a la Kurt Warner, while allowing ex NFL guys to play another year or two in some cases.

It’s crazy how the only ones saying the Panthers made the right decision benching Bryce are Panthers fans, former QBs, and former coaches. That’s crazy 😂😂
@seshubeshu5959Ай бұрын
I think the issue with Bryce is his build. Kyler Murray and Zeke Elliott are under 6' but are built like tanks. Bryce is built like Marques Brownlee and you'd think he's reviewing the latest iphone. Lamar has a lean build as well but hes 6'3"ish?

Then why did Minnesota never draft a QB to complete with Kirk ? Because he's always afraid of being replaced!
@EricsaidfulАй бұрын
Bryce isn’t Baker. Baker had a great rookie season and had some other ebs and flows which are consistent with the Browns but he was never the problem in Cleveland. Bryce is the problem in Carolina.

Is there a slight saltiness in Jays voice when talking about McVay? Also, he didn't come into that great of a situation with the Rams. He came into a great organization. The Rams were awful the year before, Goff had a terrible terrible first year, and no Ramsey was not there until 2019.
