Great video, this is his son. I never gave a public comment, but after watching the the Falklands on bbc 2 it's brought up alot about my dad and came i across this. Dad, you were an amazing man! Even though you had your demons you were always there for anyone who needed it, especially me. You called me your number 1! And I can still hear you saying it to me and gripping the back of my neck as you would, hands stinking of baccy!! I miss that so much and I miss you. It may have been 9 years, but that pain will never leave me. So much has happened since you left us, I have a wonderful beautiful wife who you would have loved, and we have 6 beautiful children that wish they could have met you. They all see your picture and know your there grandad. I truly hope that you are at peace and with YAHUSHA now and I pray that I will see you again and you will get to meet my beautiful family. YAH bless you, we love and miss you. Your number 1

I served with Hank in Belize training the Belize Defence Force in 87. I idolized Hank and enjoyed spending time with him. I will never forget when he broke down in front of me suddenly in Belize city while having a beer. I didn't know what to do or say and only now realise the struggles he had every day. Something that lives with me always, I wish the world was different back then. RIP Hank, love you mate. Slats (2 Para).

To the late Mr Steve Hood and family my condolences for your loss of a truly great man !!!!! That iconic shot of him in the Falklands with that bottle of Bacardi was a favourite of my late father(R.I.P 17/11/2002)..formerly in 1 Para based in Arnhem barracks,Aldershot-1963-1974. A Fitting tribute done here to another 'Emperor'. The other night I was talking with my mum about Aldershot and the Paras and she spoke with immense pride....A riotous lot but gentlemen who looked after Aldershot !!!! To the Hood family.....best regards to you !!! From one Para family to another!!!!!!
