Jay Leno is a classy guy. One of the best comedic TV hosts of our time. He was able to elevate the conversation to another level. I admire the fact that he never resorted to using crude language, or getting a laugh at the expense of other people.

@colindhowell5 жыл бұрын
*[EDIT - THE FOLLOWING IS INCORRECT:]* Frankly, I trust Jay's word on the car's age more than the fact checker's. The *license plate* is 1909, but the plate may be older than the car, and the deep blue paint job, assuming the restorer used the original color, dates it to 1912 or a few years after. If the car were older, it would have been either red or green.
@colindhowell5 жыл бұрын
I have to apologize-I was foolish and lazy, and let myself be misled by assuming the car had been restored with a standard paint color; of course that can easily be changed. A closer look reveals the 1909 identification is probably right, since the car has many features of the 1909-1910 style: the "ridge" running along the body sides through the rear doors, the curved corner on the rear doors, the uniform-width fenders, with a gap between the rear fenders and the splash apron, the top mounting sockets being attached to a separate "buggy rail" on the body rather than directly to the body, and the "winged script" Ford on the radiator top tank.
