I'm always grateful it wasn't worse. I'm always grateful that when I was unable there was a way. I'm always grateful when bad things have finished and there is a good thing, the good thing that came out of the struggle is a blessing. I try to learn as many lessons as possible, and I feel like it's the quickest way through difficult situations. Life happens, it just does.

Trevor and Jay :') .. what a beautiful way to explain the different ways of knowing and being grateful for exact parts of a complex experience like that, then the tools to deal with them, and how and why not to glorify the rotten/avoidable parts of those incidents. I truly love this exchange of their personal experiences so much! Thank you for sharing 💙💙

I used to think like Trevor....then I looked back in my life and saw that had I not gone through what I did it would have been worse.......God works in incredible ways. Wish he could he see that too.

I just talked on the phone with my dad about break of Yugoslavia and war in Croatia and how it affected my childhood and life. He said not to think about the past and etc. I grew up in Finland and my mom is a Finn so my dad and his side of the family is the Croatian/Slavic part of my heritage

Is a caterpillar different from a butterfly? Growth is discovering who you are outside of trauma and programming.
