Jay Slater investigator urges two men in Airbnb to come forward

A TV investigator who has flown over to Tenerife to conduct independant enquiries into the disappearance of missing Jay Slater has urged two men in an Airbnb to come forward.
It was part of a press conference Mark Williams-Thomas gave on Wednesday (June 26) to reporters in Tenerife.
19-year-old Jay, from Lancashire, has now been missing since June 17, when he disappeared in the mountains of north west Tenerife. He had stayed at an Airbnb rental the night before he vanished after 'walking off alone’ in a remote part of the Island.
Speaking to the media, the former detective turned TV sleuth, said he aims to track down the two British men that Jay is said to have stayed with in the Airbnb rental, in rural Masca, if they do not come forward.
"There are two key people that we have not yet spoken to, and these are the two men that took Jay back to that holiday rental in the hills. Those two men have spoken to the police - but are now back in England.
"I urge those two people to come forward. I need to speak to those people, they have crucial information. There will be you, as well as many other people who are asking very pertinent questions in relation to why they were here, what they were doing and why they took Jay back to that holiday rental.

The two men have been interviewed and cleared by the Spanish police along with the owner of the Air B&B. They have no obligation to talk to anyone else. There seems to be an implication that the the Local police are 'Johnny foreigners' so they cannot be competent and this has to be investigated buy Knacker of the Yard or in this case a UK celebrity PI. He may be a good detective but he has no authority to act in an official capacity even though apparently 'employed' by the Slater family. If he outs the two men on the internet he should expect to be sued by them and I won't pay to go-fund his costs if he loses!

They have come forward ! They stayed on an extra day in order to cooperate with Spainish police and be interviewed, the police then allowed them to fly back home, with their details kept should the police need to speak to them again in future. What makes you think they need to come forward to a television journalist who has absolutely no legal power or legal authority to question anyone ! Mark Williams Thomas isn’t the police, he cannot compel or force anyone to speak to him, he has no more legal clout than you or I do. The two men are witnesses, the police both Spainish and British police have their details and that is good enough. Mark doesn’t have to be provided with any information regards this case as he is not police and he has no legal power to compel anyone to speak to him. The two men are fully cooperating with police and have been interviewed, they have no duty to speak to anyone other than the police which they have done.

I've actually never heard of this man and I watch a lot of true crime. I don't get why police didn't take sniffer dog to Airbnb and pick up a scent. If he was walking wrong way dogs would have continued or stopped at location where they couldn't pick up scent. I haven't read all the comments so this may have been covered. But after a drunken night out I'm sure lots of people go to people's houses they don't really know to carry on partying. I've done it myself many moons ago. If the lady at the rental saw him in the morning asking for the bus times and walking off , he was no longer with them lads who were probably crashed out until much later in the day , so I don't really see that they have anything to do with this . Just my opinion
