Look, the guy has a good voice that goes well with the song, and is it ridiculous that someone is covering a Nirvana song on a TV show that conforms to pop culture? Hell yes it is, but at least the guy doesn't try to make it into some pop song; he sings it straight and true with a grunge voice. There's no way that we're going to stop people from singing songs that aren't meant to be sung on a show like this, so let's all just applaud him for his voice and his fantastic music choice.

It’s because Kurt was harsh on shit like this, so by extension they feel some kind of right to go around gate keeping. They’re wrong, of course. This guy can do whatever he likes, no matter how cringe it is. I’m as big a Nirvana fan as they come, been a fan since ‘91, collected tons of memorabilia, own several of his collector guitars and then some, etc., so I understand how they feel. But I’ll agree that some of these comments reek of 17 year old poser bullshit. P.S. For a great example of someone recreating Nirvana in an awesome way, KZbin search “Nirvana UK tribute” to see an amazing Nirvana tribute band. That band really pays homage to Kurt in the best way possible.
