In this video I discuss Jay-z's recent comments about the Verzuz platform.I believe I have created a list that would make Jay-z virtually unstoppable in any Verzuz. Id like to also hear what you have to say on the subject. When topics like these come up I assume you're already up to date with your view and the views of others. Now its time to test your iron against mine. So lets just dive right into it.

The biggest thing Jay-Z has is “Big Homie-ism”. Over his career he has been the “big homie” to his so many of his peers, his forefathers and obviously those who came after him. There is no other rapper who is universally revered by so many sections of rap underground, mainstream, street rap, intellectuals etc.

D, you hit the nail on the head with this one. Jay Z is the quintessential Rapper. He's the most complete and every artist is always measured to him. The only others are Biggie and Pac.

Personally and I know some people might massacre me for it...but I think jay surpassed big in every way imaginable.. unfortunately big didn't live long enough to show us his more introspective thought provoking side rather than the overwhelming amount of the money cash hoe content, that's why I would say jay edges out big...but still I can't say the same about pac.

Based on being versatile and optimizing any possible guest appearances. No order: can't knock the hustle- mjb, aint no - foxy, imaginary players, streets watching, hard knock life, jigga what- jazo, money cash hoes - x tribute, Reservoir dogs- lox beanie, big pimpin - ugk/pimp tribute, give it 2 me, izzo, heart of the city, excuse me miss/lalala remix, change the game - bleek, beans, what more/encore they go hand in hand for me, show me what u got, roc boys, otis/paris, empire state of mind - alicia lil mama, family feud. Lastly a sleeper that I think he'd play as a light hearted segue VERSUS from MCHG it incapsulates his whole feeling of anybody going against him (your last shit aint better than my 1st shit etc)

The only comparable person to him in another field is Michael Jordan, the stat sheet is impeccable (sales) , the highlights are incredible (performances, moments on features), the monumental moments are there (retiring and coming back) and the next phase of career and being an iconic figure is outstanding (businessman/label president/rocnation)

That’s the thing about Jay, whoever he battles. He has a song that might have a line related to them or the situation in some way. He can have a completely reactive versuz where he waits to hear what the other artist plays and react with a song from his catalog.
