Honestly first match first round, south korea was not c9inng. They simply did not let Hong Kong's brawl comp touch them. SK poke them until pharamacy get picks. Thats why after team fight spark1e had so much ult charge. And with that not touching point play style, hong kong team team simply can not do anything. I think it was pretty common strat against brawl comp when you have pharmacy.

Ah finally someone who understands how team comps work. The entire idea for SK is to spam out the bunkered up brawl comp on point until they bleed their resources dry and fold them like laundry - and just like folding laundry it does take a little while but as long as SK can stay in perfect control and know how much point percentage they can comfortably give up and then retake later, they're good. This multi-angle spam comp never wants to fight directly on the point, that's like giving the enemy a free advantage to flip the fight. Just let the brawl team spend their resources to take the point, then retake it back.

In Korea, boosting other players ranked for money is considered as bad as cheating, Proper is known to be a booster so he'd probably won't be playing for S.Korea in the future as well.

@@polycrystallinecandy ig when Overwatch was at it's peak in S.Korea, these boosting teams were destroying almost every elo, since the members were actual professional levels. Imagine playing as a normal Diamond player matched against a 6 stacked professional level boosting team, I think the issue at the time was beyond normal smurfing. Might be the main reasons why they hate boosting so much. Anyways, Koreans have agreed not to have a player that has a boosting career in their OWWC roaster.

2:51 isnt jay3 a top 100 or something? How does he not understand the comp choice between korea and hong kong.. Comp wise korea can't hold down point against brawl. It would naturally have to be the tank, but winton won't be able to contest point for over five seconds before he gets beamed down. Neither can any of the squishy dps do anything. Best option was to 1) give point away, burn down opposition cooldown and punish 2) punish before they even bunker down on point. I think korea played both options near flawlessly

Because usually you want every hero you pick into a comp to work in symphony together, which is why some comps are called "trolled comps" cause some or most of the heros in the comps are not fitted together Let's say you go ashe into a dive centered comp, that ashe is gonna be left behind and be a dive target for the enemy team due to the ashe having limited mobility. Hitscans can't really move well so you're forced to play it in a more poke centered comp and maybe sometimes brawl. Where HK was playing more rush/brawl so they needed heroes that can work together and be fast.
