Nice job remembering that in your head because that might be hard but when you practice it becomes much more easier but when you don’t practice or go to piano lesson or probably even practice at home and then you become better

Jay, your videos inspired me to start play piano again! I have watched tons of boogie woogie videos, but only yours made me do it. Great as always! Thank you! 👍By the way, you will have mane subscribers in closest future - thats for sure😀🤟

When I first saw the intro performance here, I said "Yikes, this is going to be tough." But then with the instruction, the left hand walking base fell right into line. Good learning progression. While the right hand chords are the standard ones I've already learned. Now to work on some of those tasty right hand licks.

I am a guitar player, and unfortunately I cannot play the piano but was always fascinated by those who can. I would love to be able to accompany myself or a singer and I do think that your videos and the style of presentation are nice enough to reach this goal of mine. Thank you very much! Cheers from Hungary!

Also a guitar player here from age 12. But I took up piano maybe 2 years ago. Self taught from YT vids. Jay Acoustics and other boogie YT content creators are inspiring. I am not struggling anywhere near as hard to learn piano as when I learned guitar. Jump right in. Start here, or start with Jay's "Got the Runs" tube. THis content is challenging but not that hard. Doable , even for a beginner, but you will have to work.

Jay, I have listened to all your vids and I am blown away by all of them but especially this one with the walking base, it’s brilliant and I am going to teach myself this over the winter. Thanks for all your free help, much appreciated.

Great as usual. I want to say only one thing: as the music goes by and the piano playing becomes harder I think that it would be very helpful for the two hands coordination to make some references to the counting. Thank you again. Continue the great job. Bye. 🤠

I like the way you do this Jay, I would normaly play the octave walking bass but the way you do it sounds the same and easier to play with the 8th after every note change. I'll have a play around with it for sure. I always struggle with right hand riffs on the octave base so see if I can improve on that.
@jayacoustics91502 жыл бұрын
Thanks for you comment👍.. Yep, the Octave walking bass can be a bit tricky to jump into at first.. This way can be an easy 'Stepping Stone' (for beginners) on the way to learning the Octave Walking Bassline... 🎹🎵😎

@@jayacoustics9150 Good point but this is more like pro style to me :D I can kinda play Bad Penny Blues with the Octave walking base in Eb with an alright ish right hand I should try it in other keys. Lots of riffs/left hand patterns I need to steal from your videos :D. Keep em coming Jay

Hi Jay. Your student William here again. I've been off work this week and practicing a lot, watching your videos and putting in extra time at the keyboard I think I am improving. However, I am struggling in one specific area: I am unable to progress to being able to play one song, or portion of a song. I can get parts of them but inevitably when I pass the 1/2 way point so to speak and have to add individual notes within chords I continue to crash and burn. The problem is that I can follow along until I go from chords to the individual notes. It's just proving to be very difficult to sync up my hands when the "within the chords" notes enter the picture. Unlike the chords, which line up well with my left hand patterns, the individual notes just don't and they are too fast to follow. I've tried going to your other videos as you suggested but the problem there is that the left hand patterns are different so I can't figure out how to sync up to the pattern from my main lesson. Even using speed changes on KZbin doesn't help. Do you have a logical progression in your lessons that you could recommend I follow? Right now I use the hand independence video and the rocket science video as my base lessons. I feel like I am really close to getting this but I need some help to line up these fingers of mine. Thoughts? Many thanks. William

Mr. Jay I was wondering if you have the sheet music on this I guess I love to read
@jayacoustics91502 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment... sorry I don't have sheet music for this video..
@whatsupchicken9 ай бұрын
Thank you it is nice and useful but for an absolute beginner you could show or write or highlight the notes of the chords or the name of the chords which are probably basic chords but still easier to read them than figure out where are exactly your fingers at.

Why do all you instructors always teach nothing but the left hand patterns when it comes to boogie woogie. Dr K, you, Henry.......all of you just left hand. Boring. Have mastered the left hand. Would love to learn right hand licks and progression but all you ever find on you tube is the same old left hand boogie tutorials
@BoogieWoogieCat3 ай бұрын
Because the left hand is the most important thing in boogie woogie.
