It's insane how much I love this. My grandma and I were best friends, she died last week. She was always my number one support. You were also my first concert, first time in a queer space, I openly bawled my eyes out while you sang "beautifully" during your in living cover tour? idk. im 30 now, I believe i was 17 at the time. Thank you for sharing your stories, and being part of mine.

I'm a nurse. I deal with death on a nearly daily basis. Sometimes it's a fight. Sometimes a gentle release. This made me think more about their lives, and what I would want for myself or someone I love. Now, from time to time, I hold their hands and sing and think of this song. Thank you for it.

Oh Jay, You have touched a chord deep in my heart with your beautiful song. My mom passed in November 2012 and this song speaks of her life too. Thank you! I remember her fondly even more now with your music.

Touching.... first makes you think about the slight fear in being alone near death.. then in the end want's to take no one with her, but while surrounded by love demands the peace she feels within to seperate themselves from sadness.

to all the native english speakers : can you tell what does blue means here? does it means sad or is he talking about the colour?
@PetraArkanian598 жыл бұрын
It refers to color of the hair since "haired lady" would be strangely worded. Although it may mean both within the song, how you would read it as a sentence would be blue hair.
