This is why I don’t like this kind of videos that use high success engineers as clickbait, making you think that if you do exactly as they do, it will completely improve your mix but this makes no sense. You can’t just simply tweak knobs without knowing why those knobs, remember to who your videos are meant for which are probably people that are starting to mix. This is why you sometimes see High shelf filter going up to 6dBs in an eq because the guy in an internet video tells you your mix always has to be bright. In my personal opinion, the kick sample you are using has enough punch already but It does have a lack of sub. However you can get the sub from an 808 (as you are doing in the video)that has a longer release, and you can add it as a tail to your kick if that makes any sense. Anyways I encourage you to do your next videos a little bit more profound and explanatory!

All the things I discuss in my videos are based on my personal experiences or lessons I've gleaned from accomplished engineers through their tutorials. It's worth mentioning that Jaycen Joshua himself didn't initially comprehend how this particular trick worked. He admitted, "I secretly learned it from a great engineer, and I never even asked him why he does this." Furthermore, our discussions revolve around common techniques employed in production and mixing. If you have any unique approaches to share, they are more than welcome. This doesn't contradict the concepts covered in the video. In each video, I emphasize that the numerical values provided are meant to replicate the exact chain used by the engineer. However, it's crucial to note that these values may need adjustment based on your individual stems. So, what's the problem?

@@yeckxo My guy , if you want to learn how to mix - you should stop watching the likes of Jaycen Joshua and mixwiththemasters who are nothing but snakeoil salesmen who give terrible advice more often than not. These people are "mega ultra successful" engineers because they had the luck to mix a song that was a huge hit. Only Serban is above , the rest of them are no better than your average mixer who costs 500 dollars a mix

@@svengali5862 I have watched numerous tutorials from various platforms such as Point Blank, Berklee, Udemy, MWTM, PureMix, MyMixLab, Matthew Weiss, and many more. As a result, I am well-versed in distinguishing between companies that prioritize profit over quality content and those genuinely committed to adding value for viewers. Therefore, I encourage you to adopt a more optimistic perspective.

Yeah don’t just put r bass on 80 hertz lol, you should be setting the frequency to the fundamental of the lowest note played and then adjust accordingly
@yeckxo
@yeckxo 7 ай бұрын
I believe that boosting the lowest note played in the song may overpower the low end but yes It's not a fixed number. I just put it on 80 hz to replicate the original chain he used.
@natebeltran9336
@natebeltran9336 7 ай бұрын
@@yeckxo I understand that, but it’s important for people to know why they choose that specific frequency! R Bass was designed to introduce harmonic freq. so you’re able to hear bass on smaller speakers. Hence why you find the fundamentals of the lowest note and adjust to taste. No hate just a little constructive criticism. Every bass is different so unless it was the same one the fundamental would be different.
@yeckxo
@yeckxo 7 ай бұрын
@@natebeltran9336 I appreciate your input, and you're absolutely right about fine-tuning to personal preference based on the distinct characteristics of each bass. Indeed, the frequency amount on R Bass is not a fixed number. Thanks for the clarification!
