I love this pattern. Simple stitches to make a great result. I did make a change tho, I found that with some fiddley yarns like Loops and Threads “Facets”, it was too hard to start the picot round right into the foundation chain, so I chained the 24 flat, let it open, then single crocheted across, and THEN I slipped stitch into the top of the that single crochet round to connect into the round, and THEN I started the picot. It made a nicer even bottom, so I didn’t have to come back and single crochet back into the glove, and it made it so much easier to start … 😊 Thanks for the great tutorial.

Hi! This pattern is on the stretchy side, so you may not need to change it much. You can use a larger hook and a slightly thicker yarn that we've used for a slightly larger size. The wrist should be around 6" to 6.5" in circumference.

Hi Faye, using the same foundation chain count formula to work in the round, but to make one that fits around your head instead, you can make a headband using this pattern. We made a headband using the Falling Leaves headband in the same manner here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJiTe3l3ebWii7M

Hi, can I ask you something, I've crocheted a British king size bed blanket, I just want to know do I have to block it, and if I do where can I let it dry, don't have enough floor space, and my table is not big enough, also can I put in washer on a cold wool wash please
@JaydaInStitches5 жыл бұрын
Hi Deborah! You only need to block the blanket if you feel the edges are really uneven, curling or rippling (in which case you want them to lie flat). If it's all laying flat, then you don't need to block it. If you DO need to block it, then steaming pieces (it will likely just be the edges that need it) of it at a time on the floor would be helpful (on towels) and that way it won't be really damp. You can them cover your bed in towels or strip it completely and cover it with a sheet and lay it over your bed to dry in the drape that it will naturally get lying on your bed. Chances are, the weight of the blanket will stretch out the tight areas over time with use. For washing instructions, be sure to consult with the labels of the yarn you used - not all fibers or yarns are happy in the washing machine or are temperature sensitive :)

Hello Jayda! Cute gloves! If I wanted to change the primrose stitch to a double crochet stitch is that possible? I want the gloves to go with the scarf I made as a gift
@JaydaInStitches5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jedi, yes! You would just follow the same instructions but use dc for every row instead. When you get to the thumb row, skip 5 sts, ch 3 and continue with your dc. When you get to the next row, you'll want to work 5 sts into those 3 chains (however you like) to get your stitch count back to normal :)

Love it! But, I have a problem whenever I try to make a scarf but it always rounds up into a circle.
@JaydaInStitches5 жыл бұрын
Hi Yasmine, be sure to keep an eye on your stitch count! Generally, when making a scarf, every row should be exactly the same as the last. If youre stitch count is fine, then it might be your tension is too tight - upsizing to a larger hook will help that :)

Hi Kadyja, you don't say what your trouble is, but you don't have to add the thumb part to the gloves if you don't want to. Otherwise, all you need to do is work 4 shells in the first row and continue with the Primrose pattern as normal :)

Hi Jayda! Made a pair of these to go with the primrose hat, and as usual were easy, fun and lovely. I have one question. Do you think this could be started with the Single crochet chainless foundation stitch?🤔 I’m not that familiar with it, but it looks nice and sturdy. Thanks!
@JaydaInStitches5 жыл бұрын
Hi Mango, You could certainly build this stitch in the round on a row of foundation sc, but in this pattern it would look funny because you still have to add the row of sc along the bottom when the glove is finished - this is for sturdiness and a nice finish. Beginning with a row of sc or even foundation sc would still leave you with exposed foundation chains along the bottom :)
