Hi jayda. This is an interesting way to make the cat ears hat. I’ve seen people do a big long rectangle and then sew in the sides. I love your pattern too because your stuff comes out soooo neat. I love your work and you were one of the first you tubers I’ve watch when I started crocheting. I can honestly say your videos and written patterns helped me so much. You inspire me that you can crochet anything that you can think of. I love you so much. Your work is the best ever

After finishing the blanket I'm making for my baby nice ( I'm using a mix of you're 2018 calendar blanket - little fish, primrose, falling leaves and X's and O's ) I think I will have a lot of yarn to spend in this projects. thank you for every video you have released so far. I really hope so. Crochet is like therapy for me, and, since I'm currently unemployed I'm trying to make useful crochet items for sale. By the way, even though I'm pretty fluent in english ( I'm almost native ), you were the first teacher that I could understand without a single problem. I'll try to send you a picture of part of the blanket, the yarn is not as thick as yours, I'm using a 3mm needle, it's little fishes - divider row - primrose - divider row - falling leaves - divider row - X's and O's - divider row- and repeat from bottom to top. The idea is to make a cover for the bed of the baby, and not a real blanket. I hope my heart sister like's it ;)

Well, I thought I’d make a minty-green hat with white for the ears, and add a bow at one of the ears when I found the right ribbon. 🎀 I tried it on my sons to see if it was big enough for their cousin, and they thought it was a monster. The white triangles looked like eyes. So this would probably be a great froggy hat if you made it in darker green, and add eyes instead of pink triangles! (I’ll probably do that, in fact. I don’t have daughters.) 🐸

Hi! For a small child, a foundation chain that measures around 8" or 20 cm should fit them nicely.

Quick tip ..if you’re worried about accidentally stitching the back panel put a piece of cardboard or a card in back of you work so the needle can’t go through.

Hi Kathy, If you want to stripe the brim so that stripes run vertically, you can change colours every few rows while making the cuff. If you want to make the brim look like one big stripe, you can make it in a single colour, then change colours to make the rest of the upper part of the hat :)
