It's so weird how the media makes it seem like every single one of his throws was to the boundary. He's hitting the middle of the field quite a bit every game not deep down the middle sure, but he can absolutely make that throw

The one JD5 ripped over the middle against Missouri to Malik Nabers was after he suffered a rib injury in the game. If he was concerned about the middle of the field and his injury he wouldn't have made that throw. The media said a bunch of lies about CJ Stroud last draft cycle and he turned out okay.

This is the best quarterback in the draft I’m seeing comments where they’re saying he has the worst accuracy and processing so laughable the hatred because he’s literally the best at that in this class, most QB ready with dynamic mobility he just needs to learn how to not take hits.. it’s ridiculous. The comment section is full of trolls.
@pats334Ай бұрын
Just because he is the most accurate statistically does not mean he is the most accurate. He is often bailed out by his elite receivers and misses plenty of throws. He is hesitant to throw far too often. Will say though his running certainly impressed me but I am worried for him taking to many hits especially with his build.

Watched Drake Maye's film before this and Jayden Daniels has much better pocket presence and shows intentional processing and reading through his progressions before moving outside or ad-libbing the play. He also has a softer touch on balls, better accuracy and better footwork in the pocket.

10 mins in and I can see he has the same arm talent as Caleb.. I think the separation between them two is pocket presence, short to intermeidiate throws, and leadership.. and it also comes down to which organization makes their QB the most comfortable early.. the gap between Caleb/Daniels and the rest is there
@JayStiles-kt2pm27 күн бұрын
Caleb Williams ablibs his plays while Jayden Daniels is more patient while letting his wrs get open,And for leadership goes Caleb Williams is more outspoken while Jayden Daniels leadership is more laid back and calm like say Lamar Jackson imo. @@JayStiles-kt2pm Daniels biggest con to me is his ability to avoid sacks.. Daniels is not Lamar in that fashion, they are two very different players.. First off great job, you did a lot of work on these videos. Looking at JD - he has nfl starter ability, can make throws but missed a lot of throws. Super athletic, can make big runs but pocket presence needs to better, needs to know if he sets protection a certain way, has to have a better clock in his head, when running needs to know how to press a whole and use his blocks and not take big unnecessary hits, but kid is tough - needs be more aware. Right now in his development he doesn't elevate an offense by himself, watching the LSU offense, he missed completions, seem to have miscommunication in medium routes, throwing behind or too far in front recievers and you can tell the recievers were confused as at times they would have drops on easy completions. He's not finished product reminds me of Tyrod Taylor, Marcus Vick and Huntley. If he's surrounded by talent he will do ok, against good defenses he is not going be clutch in game scenarios right now but ok defenses he will put highlights but leave plays on the field. JD definitely needs to be coached but he has big play ability at anytime but he has be able to execute on clutch moments and get on the same page with recievers on medium routes. He has great stats but if you watch in certain game situations, he waits too long to escape, he got ball in recievers vicinity but there weren't completions in big moments of the games that caused Lsu to fall behind in certain games. Looking at JD talent and recievers he had, beyond Nabers and Thomas his 3rd, 4th and 5th receivers athletically better than guys covering them - so not to nit pick but they shouldn't have lost some of the games or been behind in games. So question for JD is the development of LSU equal to his development with Nabers and Thomas or was it mostly the recievers- I do not think he can be put him in situation to carry offense by himself, he needs talent to help further growth and qb coach able to utilize his ability to move hit the deep ball and work on settling down his footwork in medium part of field. Nabers looks like Reggie Wayne, he definitely can be the engine to an offense that gets first downs and 3rd down conversions. Thomas looks like an unpolished Andrea Johnson and Hakeem Nick's type. I don't know if he's a number 1 receiver but he has big play ability and he makes game look easy- Big Smoove- worse come to worse he can give you Chris Henry kind of production, he continues building and growing he can be that big time reciever that can explode on a game. Right now his game needs more seasoning but sky's limit for the kid, hope he has reciever coach that will get him work on having dominant mentality, where when ball comes his way it's a bonified catch and game explosion- where coordinators are rolling coverage and double teams his way.

@@httrprodJD’s got some major mechanical and accuracy issues and his awareness doesn’t seem up to par as much. Looks like it takes him more time than usual to process how things are developing. Hes an athletic freak no doubt but there’s some things that are sticking out to me. Slow progression, mechanical issues especially in the legs and body movement when throwing, pocket awareness isn’t as good as JJ or Penix really imo. Has a lot of highlight plays but that’s the result of playing in an air raid offense like Brian Kelly has. Plus LSU has some pretty good talent at receiver. So that may cover some of those things up
@pauliej345Ай бұрын
Yeah i dont get the hype on Daniels. I think its overrating his stats but thats because hes playing with 2 top 15-20 picks at wr. He misses a lot of throws, his progression is a little slow, has a narrow frame and takes a lot of hits, seems to not evade pressure or being wrapped up as much as you would think for someone with his mobility. hes like a less accurate, less mobile, smaller version of Justin Fields.

After watching his tape on this channel, I think JJ’s better than what I remember. Maybe it was just I hadn’t watched football in a couple months and thought the last thing football I watched in a while was just good with no reference. I’m a Redskins fan, so why not watch Jayden Daniels, the QB we’re expected to take at #2? It’s not good. He has a long way to come to make it in the NFL. Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas are just bailing him out all the time. No wonder the shot up the Draft Board. Reminds me too much of Johnny Manziel and Mike Evans. Told everyone Mike Evan’s is the reason Johnny Manziel went in the 1st Round and got a lot of shit from it.
