I've always had a soft spot for Aiyuk since we drafted him. He's a good player, but he's gotta keep that perspective. Daniels stopped Oregon from making the playoffs that year. Then his first year at LSU despite a pretty bad team around him, he stopped Alabama from making the playoffs. Then the next year with a horrible defense, he stopped Missouri from finishing as a top 5 team. He's in a very got spot with the Commanders. Defensive minded head coach, but he has an elite OC in Kliff who knows how to utilze Daniels.

It was funny, I never realized this until Lenoir made an offhand remark at a press conference last season about how he and Aiyuk had been "battling since college". Out of curiosity, I checked what college Lenoir went to, and as soon as I saw Oregon, I immediately thought of this play. Sure enough!

Before last season it seemed like every time a PAC-12 team had a chance to make a statement and get in the playoff they choked. Oregon and Stanford multiple times during the 2010’s , Utah just a couple weeks after this game, and USC in 2022. But really sad the conference will be no more next year.
