One suggestion is that in McDonald's people usually order food in Extra Value Meals which contain one burger, one bag of fries and one cup of drink. This conbination is much cheaper and can add one kind of snack in a lower price. Every thing ordered seperetely is much expensive.

The GCB(grilled chicken burger, or the "pan grilled chicken sandwich") is my favourite item in McDonalds, and I think it's not the breast but chicken thigh, which gives it some texture biting into, and it's juicy. There's a cut out at the middle of the pie's package, so you can pull that cut out and open it from there. If you guys still in China or have future plan to visit again, definity give KFC a try, it's completly different menu compare to other places in the world I guess.

KFC and McDonald's in China taste better than those in the United States because they have been improved. China's restaurant culture is quite noisy, with people talking loudly, playing sounds, and smoking. The more customers there are in a restaurant, the better the food, but it's just noisy. These are just cultural conflicts, please be tolerant. In fact, I don’t like restaurants that are too noisy. China is only a developing country, and we cannot hold China to Japan's standards. Chinese culture is very tolerant, freer and more humane than Japan. There is no tipping culture in Chinese restaurants, which is far superior to that in Europe and the US. In the United States, a 15% tip is required, which is very scary.
@JayandKarolina2 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏼 We found all them fast food chain restaurants to be way fresher compared to anywhere else! The most popular set of McDonald in China must be “one plus one (1 ➕1)”, you can get a double cheese burger and a cup of Coca-Cola (there are other choices too but I like this combo most) for only 14 CNY!! Really affordable for the young people or the students. Y’all can have a try if you travel in China!

The self order kiosk is definitely an upgrade for ordering in China for English speaking guests. I attempted to order at a McDonalds in Beijing about 6 years ago, and the language barrier with the employees lead to me leaving as I couldn’t order in a timely manner. I ended up at a local restaurant with visual menus that I could translate through Google translate. I don’t prefer McDonalds over typical local cuisine but if I am uncertain about the sanitation situation, McDonalds is often the safest option (I ate at McDonalds 3 times over 2 weeks in India).

ChongQing, is historically part of Sichuan and it is Sichuan that is known for it's spicy food, specifically for MaLa (numbing spiciness), but most Chinese will not say it is THE spiciest place. That title usually belongs to Hunan Province. I have spent a lot of time in both places and we even had a house in ChongQing for a few years and I've been an expat in residence in China since the late 90s. I've been to McDonalds in most of the 42 countries I've been to and one thing I can attest to is that they are the only fast food chain that to stay true to their roots, more than any other. Their core items are always on the menu with the exception of their outlets in India. The worst McD's experience I've had was in the UK. And I'm not the only one I know who says the UK McD's is the world's worst. Oh, btw The McSpicy Chicken is not a CQ specialty, you can get the same anywhere in China. Some options in the mainland though are not available in Hong Kong and Macao though. Yes the freeloaders are an issue. People bringing their own food into other restaurants, especially McDs and just camping out, I've even seen people sleeping on the bench seats occasionally. The management never does anything about it, seems to be a policy because I''ve seen this in many McD's outlets around the country. It can be very annoying when you are there at rush hour and these freeloaders are there taking up tables while paying customers like myself can not find a seat. Oh, and the Sundaes at Chinese McD's are still very sweet. Especially the Strawberry sauce. Very surprised by your experience with the fries. I've never heard a negative report on them before so, maybe you just got a bad batch. I've had friends from places like the UK, US, Canada, and a few other European countries visit and like you wanted to try the Chinese McD's out of curiosity and yours was the first negative report of the fries I've heard. I had some the other day in Beijing and had no issues.

@@et5222 in Asia for french fries usually sweet potatoes are used. Any fast food restaurants you go they use sweet potatoes, you can tell by the colour and taste.

@ScorpionX669 This videos is in China, I live in China and have been to McDonalds (and KFC, Burger King) many many times; and all serve regular French fries that are made from white potatoes. I have no clue what you are referring to? Do you live in a Chinese city where western fast food chains use sweet potatoes for their regular fries? If so, I may move there. Sweet potato fried are awesome!

@@et5222 then explain to me why the fries in the video looks different and as he said tastes different too? If McDonald uses the same type of French fry everywhere? You want sweet potatoes buy from, buy McCacin potatoes they're sweet potato fries...
@et52222 ай бұрын
@ScorpionX669 as they said in the video, the fries are undercooked, that's why they look so strange. Sweet potatoes are very common in China, and roasted sweet potatoes are a great street food. McD's only use white potatoes ( nightshade family varieties) not sweet potatoes (morning glory vegetable family). And yes, sweet potato fries are delicious.

Emm generally speaking, we Chinese teenagers and young people who are called Generation Z attach more importance if our behaviors make others annoyed compared with middle-aged people. When the Granaries Are Full, the People Follow Appropriate Rules of Conduct. However, about 40 years ago we were so poor that some people died because of lack of food so in the past people didn’t care if anyone else is noisy. It's hard just to eat enough so who cares about these details? In the process of development, some people kept their some bad habits that may make someone else uncomfortable and are difficult to be corrected. But I’m sure they didn’t mean it😂. They just be accustomed to living in the life with various voice therefore they ignore their uncivilized behaviors subconsciously. Of course,there are also uncivilized people who do this on purpose and we hate them as well, just keep them away.

In my opinion burger King and Macdonald's are better then kfc. I used to eat kfc when i was younger but its gotten greasy dont really eat it anymore. Every country's Macdonald's taste different to Usa and Uk Macdonald's. Jamaica and china probably have the best Macdonald's in the world from what i have seen in videos. Burger king always has such long waits for food tho. I love chicken nuggets and the Macdonald's apple cinnamon pie😋 i probably eat Macdonald's only 1 day every month because obviously its not healthy to always eat fast food but i do eat chinese takeaway food though 😋
