I lived in Los Angeles from 1967 to 2021. My late husband's best friend was a California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer. He was responsible for helping to transport the police officers who were accused in the Rodney King trial to and from court. He said they were transported through tunnels underneath the courts, just like the guy said in this video. It is a common-knowledge secret in LA.

I recently saw an interview of a Starbucks employee. I believe they worked in LA, maybe more specific town but in LA. The person claimed they work at an underground Starbucks. Specifically, celebrities, politicians, and other elites, drive down there to avoid being seen and can stop at the Starbucks, free of charge. They spoke as if this was no big deal, just a job they go to everyday they have to get paid extra for keeping those secrets.. Honestly it's not like it's impossible.

My uncle is a multi millionaire and he always says the key to success is time management. Time is money. Every second you waste is a second you will never get back. If you aren't making money then you are losing money. Wealthy people pay for convience. They might pay a ton for these tunnels but they are using the time they save not being stuck in traffic like the rest of us for more productive things. When I heard about the tunnels being used by the wealthy elite it just made sense. I'd actually be more surprised if this wasn't a thing. Elon Musk built his own tunnel from his house to his workplace. @@jess_jeff7549

Jamal I lived in LA a couple of decades and yeh, a lot of us knew about this in some way or other. Some people are always explorers of where we live and grow up. A lot of these areas were blockaded (at least to the unknowing general public) and some had been blocked off by earthquakes or other means. There were others where (if uninitiated one was stopped by scary security types.) An artist friend of mine who began the 'gentrification' of downtown LA found an old speakeasy under the building he rented for cheap as all that when downtown was a 'ghost town' at the turn of the century. Do a search, there are a number of vids exploring some of the tunnels. While others remain 'no entry' to those not in the club.

I come from a city that had tunnels from the railway station to various establishments for alcohol, opium, gambling dens, and other activities. This started during Prohibition as well. My father worked in a building downtown that had a bricked in tunnel a coupe of blocks from the railway station and there was a sinkhole that exposed another tunnel downtown. It's a tourist attraction now.

Hello friend, I wanted to clear up a common misconception. Petroleum is a dark, thick oil obtained from under the ground and made into fuels such as gas and heating oil, and used in making plastics, it is also used in VASELINE, I think that's what you are thinking of because the jar says "Petroleum Jelly" , but petroleum is just an ingredient along with is a mixture of mineral oils and waxes. These tunnels aren't forgotten they are now a outdoor market full of "homeless" buy & sell themselves & other items. Alot of the "homeless" in California aren't from California but sent to California by other states; like Arizona, Texas, Nevada, Canada. Some of them are hiding out in these tunnels to avoid being returned to the state they came from.

Now I know why this Diddy stuff popped off. The economy is about to take a DRASTICALLY downfall and the wealthy have prepared to protect themselves by living in these tunnels and they said, NO WAY can we allow Diddy and his likes live down here with us. Lol (funny but not funny)

There are tunnels in Seattle ( where the origins of the name "skid row"). Portland has them as well. When I worked on Colorado's state Capitol I have worked in the tunnels below. The small guage railroad tracks are still the there but not usable. I have been told they run to the brown palace a former Masons lodge and beyond.

Yes native tunnels were used for red cars aka trains.. as a little girl i remember them i think it was 1971 when they stop. But now we have subways above and below ground .Tunnels we used to cross the streets as a kid but most of them are locked. There's one by the Hollywood bowl they open when there's events

16:39 Seattle has a legit unground city. With old store fronts, saloons, hotels used for Shanghai people way back etc.. they just built the new city on top of old one.

Ive been in the tunnels under DTLA. Also, there is a tunnel joining the Crypto arena to LA Live. Kobe used to fly from his house to the Ritz Carlton and then take the tunnels to the arena.

Youd be suprised how many cities have underground tunnell systems. It was pretty common back in the 18/1900s . Big bussiness had them fornenployees to go to lunch or a shirt cut to get to work. You gitta remember. There wasnt cars back in the day. So ifnu could cut 30 mins off your walk. Thag was a huge deal.

I know there is an underground city that burned in Seattle and they rebuilt the new city on top of the old one you can tour it. I was born in Reading Pa. Berks county and there are underground tunnels there that went to banks and other stores through out the city they used some for mafia and hiding slaves way back in the day. I worked in a drugstore that had two tunnels that was behind the shelves that held the shoes. One went to a church that transported slaves to next destination.
