JOEL LIEBLER - Both Stevie and Christine are amazing artists. Each wrote and sang hit songs for Fleetwood Mac (as did the irreplaceable Lindsey Buckingham) during the 1970s and 1980s. Christine gets overshadowed by Stevie’s superstardom, but she was absolutely instrumental to the band’s success - writing more hit singles for the Mac than Stevie, Lindsey, Peter or Bob.

I have a request for Fleetwood Mac, but prior to the Stevie Nicks lineup! The band was started in 1967, and the original singer/lead guitarist was Peter Green -- one of the greatest guitarists of all time. "Need Your Love So Bad" is what made them famous, and their song "Black Magic Woman" is one of the songs that made Santana famous. However, I'd recommend "Green Manalishi" live in Sweden -- this song is mindblowing, and it was revolutionary at the time. It illustrates the furthest extent of Peter Green's creative genius before he started suffering from psychosis (possibly caused by schizophrenia). Absolutely incredible song.

The Chain was about the whole group trying to hold it together. Christine and John McVie's marriage ended during Fleetwood Mac and Lindsey and Stevie had to also get up and play together even after their break up.

Ah, my high school days. Fleetwood Mac was one of my favorites. Their 'Rumors' album is hands down one of the best of all times. I played it so much I wore grooves into it and had to buy another one.

Stevie Nicks has a very unique voice. She sings alto but can hit some high note as well. Very creative the way she sings with the different intonations that bring out the emotions as well as the depth of the song. It's like her voice caresses the song at just the right moment.

From the late '60s through the early '80s, they were one of the best rock bands in the world. A sustained level of brilliance that few bands can rival.

The Eagles deserve recognition there as well, not to take away from Mac. Both bands were just as messy but at least the members of the Eagles weren't dating each other.

@@doctorx3 I can honestly say I love just about every one of those people and bands you named and have the entire catalog for at LEAST a half to 3/4's of them. You might not like the Eagles but you have to respect the music they made and not only the shows they put on but the number of people that still go to their shows. The Stones belong in that list as well. Pink Floyd together and apart are still great musicians. You didn't list Genesis and Phil Collins on his own because both made great music. Sting and The Police as well. Eric Clapton and just about every band he was in and his solo career. The Allman Brothers Band chugged along without Duane which to me is still a shame. I think we could do this for days! :-D

@@aricp9173 The one guy from the Eagles that I do love is Joe Walsh, but I'll take his output with the James Gang or his solo stuff over them any day. Hell, I massively prefer his solo version of 'In the City.'
