@stephenspero32015 жыл бұрын
jarhead4ever1 Zep 3 was the first 8 track that my Brother and I literally wore out. When the levee breaks is a phenomenal remake of a 1927 blues duo song about the devestating flood of the same year that decimated 7 states. I believe it's by Memphis Milliy and Topeka Joe. Check out the history of the song Gallows Pole. It goes back to I think the 15 century in poetry form and numerous reinventions since then. I was watching a 1950s western and I saw a "Spanish " women playing guitar and singing Gallows Pole. I was like say what! So I researched ita few years ago and that's how I found out. I love the New Animals. ..uh I mean LZ. The second 8 track we wore out was Ten Years After a space in time. Check out the above info. You'll be duly enriched! 60's and 70s was great time to grow up musically. Peace, love and hope.

John Paul Jones is my favorite member of Led. Dude does NOT get enough credit for his talent because of how much Page, Plant, and Bonham overshadow, but he is hands down one of the greatest bassist and organists of all time. Also, I don't think enough credit is given to how damn HEAVY they come in after the guitar solo. Those drums beat your skull in they are so heavy...

This brought back memories and all of them good. This is one of my favorite Zep songs. Their first three albums were just off the hook. Young rock musicians should look to them as an example of how to do it. When I got the notification I was talking to my mom and went "Bye! Led Zep reaction. I'll call you back" I had the whole grinning, playing air drums and mouthing the words thing going on.
