Man, I get the need for it--but especially with this song there's an entire journey from start to finish (complete with ebbs and flows, ups and downs, and intensity of volume) and it is composed almost like classical piece. So truly I feel bad that you aren't getting to experience the song as it was intended. Do what you gotta do though! Another excellent video

Ahh, the good old days where the "crickets would be chirping in your ears" for days afterward. Around where I came from, we called it that even though it was just a high pitched "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE". Black Sabbath, Led Zep, Jethro Tull ... Blue Oyster Cult coming in '72 (after their name changed). I can't remember the year - BOC turned their concert volume down because 7 hearing people came out of one of their concerts legally deaf. Most bands turned the volume down as well after that.

"This sounds familiar" - I believe all the great songs sound familiar because they resonate with our souls. Think about every time you thought a song sounded familiar and later you realized that no other song sounded like it. I believe in my heart that some melodies, although they are totally new, resonate in our hearts and that makes them truly great. We feel like we know them already. They sound familiar. But they aren't, it's a new sound, a new melody, a new chord progression, but it's so perfect, it "resonates". We feel like we already know it because it EXISTS IN OUR SOUL ALREADY.

@@sheiladrucker6872 although they notoriously "borrowed" heavily from elsewhere and took songwriting credit for material they did not actually write. Their live performances were not up to the standard that they delivered on studio albums. Apart from that they do have many redeeming qualities to what they contributed to the musical spectrum. What I really enjoy is seeing someone who's always exploring and impressed by different styles and areas of music history.

Whether or not they credited the original artists has nothing to do with the fact that their arrangements of the songs were stellar and the musicianship was second to none. You people going around pretending to be offended should ask yourselves why NONE of Zeppelin's peers have ever said anything negative about them supposedly stealing songs. Why doesn't Paul McCartney or Rush or Judas priest or Metallica or a million other well known Zeppelin fans ,who btw are actually in the business of copyrighting songs, aren't pretending to be offended by instances of plagiarism? Could it be that your knowledge of classic rock and the British Blues movement consists of a couple videos about plagiarism you happened to watch on KZbin , and you've never actually bought or listened to an album and know nothing about the music being made by English bands of that era? Most of which were playing the exact same songs. Stop with that naive , pretentious bullshit.

Great Job! The pauses are needed. I can speak for a lot of us here - We fully understand. I really appreciate you going back 10 seconds to rebuild the broken flow from the pauses. I actually hate when reactors will pause and just restart from where they paused. By going back 10 seconds, you are showing us all how much you appreciate what you are hearing. I personally love seeing the younger generation discovering and enjoying the music I grew up with. The late 60's and early 70's were filled with experimental bands all wanting to create their own sound. Sadly, much of this has been lost and buried into obscurity over time, but some of the more popular bands from back then are still known today. Fortunately, Led Zeppelin carried over. It was not only one of the more popular bands still known today, it was also one of the best. Keep on Rockin' !
