@@gpxo11 Yes likely correct rock instrumental, but it still remains the biggest selling one. I'm sure you could go back to Beathoven for # 1 instrumentals but in terms of the content on these reaction videos ... Frankenstein is it !!

This live version of this song is a total experience. It blew me away the first time I saw it. Edgar Winter is very talented & plays many instruments including keyboards, saxophone & timbales. The title "Frankenstein" refers he fact that the original recording of the song was much longer than the final version & it required numerous edits to shorten it. So they spliced together many different parts.

That contraption Edgar Winter is playing is the ARP 2600 synthesizer. The keyboard strapped around his neck is the controller for it. He was changing the sound by moving sliders and knobs on the main unit. Stevie Wonder also used an ARP 2600 as well as many others, including Ben Burtt, sound designer for Star Wars. R2-D2's sounds were from an ARP 2600. Interesting note: The guy on bass* guitar is Dan Hartman, who had a hit in the late '70s called "Instant Replay", and in the '80s had a hit with "I Can Dream About You". *Edited for correctness

Multi-instrumentalists like Edgar Winter impress the ell out of me. It takes most people a lifetime to master one instrument, at least to get good enough to be willing to play in public. I once saw a Hank Williams Jr. show on New Year's Eve and before the night was over that man had played every instrument on that stage and played them all well. Mind boggling.

My older brother, who was then in HS talked my parents into giving him a room in the basement to hang out with friends. They would jam tunes while playing foosball and this album was often played, with this very song being the one that was most often repeated. This and Free Ride. Good memories...thanks for the upload. This song was actually something they would play during their soundchecks to warm up. One night their manager happened to be at a soundcheck and heard them doing this song and asked Edgar what is that song and Edgar told him that was something they played to warm up. The manager said that they needed to put that on an album, so they did and it became a monster hit. (pun intended)

right in the 1:00 to 2:00 mark the guitarist there doing the squealy synthing is showing off his skill because he's shifting between playing the synth like it was a saxophone, a trumpet, a trombone, and a tuba all intertwined, like he's emulating the kind of pitch shifting that we iconically associate with a trombone and then doing little trumpet deedly-deets and deep tuba hits, like this whole song is that guy really just showing off his skill at a number of different instruments, he's really talented

Hello Jamel, i have been following your channel for a long time now, I think you would really enjoy Hurricane by Bob Dylan. Its a bit on the long side and would be one of the longer, if not the longest songs you have reviewed yet. Its a story about a man who should have been a huge success but was falsely accused of a crime because of his race and had his legacy and life stolen from him. In my opinion its a masterpiece. Theres one line in there toward the end that some may take offensively if they didnt know the context of it by listening and paying attention to the song. Even if you don’t do a reaction video to it, it is definitely worth a listen. Great song, great lyrics, and great (but sad) story.

I was born in Paterson and have lived, (65+years), and worked in the area. We know the story well. One of my coworkers lived in Paterson all his life. He knew both of them. His last name was Carter also. But he would tell me he was not related to Hurricane. He did tell me many times that they were not innocent.
