Hey Jay I’ve been running base kit wizard because I hate myself, what are the best spells/abilities/passives to run in its current iteration? I’m literally a 200 hour solo wizard main that knows nothing but the rat life and I want to learn PvP lmao. Lots of the guides are for kitted wizards or outdated I’ve found. I also trust Jay more than others bc he’s a real one.

@wildcard126 if you're fine with pve, I'd recommend using arcane mastery, sage, quick chant and ice mastery. I mostly play 10 spells, but you can also run an arcane shield or intense focus build with spell overload. Ice mastery is extremely good. I'd highly recommend trying it. Also, try to always keep yourself buffed with haste

@@sl5945 you don’t even need ti build bonk, you itemize the same way you would on caster wiz you just need ignite arcane shield along with staff mastery. Yes it’s a commitment but not as bad you seem to think. And it completely shuts down your main threat (ambush rogue) You still have all your true damage and cast speed

Wizard gets his balls crushed if you snease in his general direction, doesn't matter how many teammates you have l, in fact in team fights you get prioritized bc your an easy kill, it's not that the class is bad it's just punished the hardest for any little mistake out of all the classes by a wide ass margin

@Naohy I typically play under 25 gear, I just find it more fun and consistent, I didint say wizard is bad in fact I think it's the strongest class in the game, with that said it's also the most difficult class in the game to play, and I say that last part as a wizard main it's sometimes the most boring class to play as you can often find yourself sitting for multiple mins, the whole point of my response was to say nobody's calling wizard bad just very hard
