Same. I’m 24 and my mother passed 2months ago. Pancreatic Cancer. Unfortunately I’ll never get to share these moments of moving into my first place with her because I stayed home to take care of her. Jayla, try not to rush the decorating process. When I first moved to the city I went crazy buying everything I seen in furniture stores - trying to make my apartment feel "homey" and look cute. A couple months later I started returning items.. a year later I wanted to throw everything out and redecorate lol. Take your time doing research (stalking pintrest ideas) & it'll all come together little by little. Most of all, have fun with it. Xo

IDK it feels kinda weird to see Jayla like this. in her own place. Like wow I feel like just yesterday I was watching her, Raquel and MiMi going to a Halloween. party, her pool dancing, graduating college and her always eatting pig skin's lol do they even have that where she stays. Omg Im getting teared up just typing this lol wow I'm just so proud of her to not even know her only seeing a glimpse of her life on youtube..... No - for the set for the balcony, you can put a nice plant out there and get a fold up chair that you can place in the closet for when you're ready to use it.. The space looks small and the chairs would have to be facing each other for leg room. Also white will get rusty and it snows and rains a lot more than it is sunny! I love how the space in coming along, if you can't find a throw some nice decorative pillows would give a nice contrast and bring in the colors from the painting!

I say no to the balcony set, you don't want it to cluttered out there especially since it is so narrow. I say add a stool and a plant out there if you want something on your balcony. I know how you are with plants but if you want something "alive" try some indoor plants... just a few small ones that are easy to take care of. Congratulations on your apartment! It's coming along nicely! What you have is a Juliet balcony. They are usually too small for a bistro set to fit comfortably so perhaps you should forgo the set. Perhaps some plants or a small bush or tree would be better. You could decorate with some string lights. Also, I really love the bedroom curtains. Perhaps you can add some lace panels behind them. That would give you a bit more coverage but still allow light to filer through.
