Notice how Christian never says "I". He always says "We". The man is the personification of humility and extremely honorable in how he conducts himself. For a man who has accomplished so much in such a short amount of time, he never hogs the credit. Top guy, definitely someone all of us should aspire to be.

I’ve found truly successful people turn out to be really humble, a lesson taught by Andy Frisella, whom I recommend to check out if you can, but wow ain’t that really inspirational, if you wanna be truly successful, be humble... must say it doesn’t apply to celebrities like modern “rappers” and such but yea

The 1/2 mile cars that are 3K HP are far faster, of course. There are steerable versions of the 1/2 mile cars that are faster. I think Koenigsegg is simply trying to make a homologated car from a manufacturer that is very fast and he should be commended for that, but keep in mind that for far less money one can build a Lambo or Porsche with 1700 -2500 HP and be far faster.

It is just such an experience to see these two absolute gentleman- an enthusiast and an engineer, one of the heroes who make his dreams come true, in such a flowing, elegant, high quality, perfect exhange of questions, ideas, translations, expressions and explanations. Elite Quality! This, is what you call a high quality, professional(yet, informal) production! Jay and Christian are a perfect fit and this episode is the personification of the Regera. It did more than justice to this totally unique piece of magnificent machinery.

I imagine that the tooling required to make a tire of this caliber is well into a million dollars. For a big company to dedicate their equipment and talent into it, it’s well worth that price. When they expect to only produce a couple hundred sets, then it gets very very expensive. Koenigsegg can afford it. However when you’re only selling 80 two million dollar cars, 1 million dollars for tires is far too much to justify. Their approach as a partnership rather than an exclusive product makes a lot more sense. Whether I have my numbers right or not is up to us to guess, but I think my hunch is in the right proportions. Tires making up 1% or more of the production cost wouldn’t work for a small company.

Minor correction... They don't look "like art." They are the pinnacle expression of what art is. The true encompassment of form and function. The beautiful flowing body lines are an expression of the cars ability to generate down force and therefor its handling.

The 4v 4.6 was a great engine. I have one in my 97 Cobra. He used it for a reason, they are lightweight for a DOHC, they are designed well, they handle a lot of HP, they rev smoothly, the bore and stroke are square, just overall a terrific engine. John Malkovich trapped over 250mph in the 1/4 mile with a factory Ford block, crankshaft, and heads out of a 96-98 Cobra, just ported and whatnot. That says a lot, we're talking 2500ish HP out of a 281c.i. engine!

I wasn't around during Enzo Ferrari's heyday, I can claim to have been around during Christian Von Koenigsegg's and I'm sure there's much more to come. We are in the presence of greatness - A true automotive engineering genius. He seems like a thoroughly lovely bloke too!

Enzo was not a particularly nice man. Then again, when I buy a car, I don't care about the designer's personality ...just his designs. Koenigsegg is a brilliant engineer and appears to be a very nice, humble guy. This is a car reserved for a few rich people. I'd be curious to know what he could build for $200k.

Gotta say, I've paid attention to Christian and his company since the beginning, and as an engineer myself, CAD/CAM/Solid Modeling expert, this guy is a genius. I can really appreciate what he does. In the beginning, there were plenty of skeptics all around, especially when it came to alot of his "claims or dreams". I think he's laid them all to rest. Props to a good guy who's doing what he obviously loves, and making a great return on it. If I had my choice of ANY car ever built, it would be one of his. I wouldn't even have to think about it.

Drewg351 what do you think of Pagani?
@saminkarim7796
@saminkarim7796 6 жыл бұрын
stryker2828 - Pagani is more a kit car. AMG engine. Only real design contribution is the aesthetics. Koenigsegg on the other hand is more revolutionary and original -- and therefore much much better. Perhaps the comparison of Swedish/German (Germanic) and Japanese/Korean (Asian) brands versus French/Italian (Latin) brands illustrates the different motivations: substance versus style. Amongst French/Italian makers the only exception is the legendary Citroen DS (French) which is still the most revolutionary car ever made.
