Bisimoto is the type of person you WANT to come into your country. A dreamer and a technician who can implement ideas rationally. Who knows that this guy could develop that revolutionizes cars in the future through his tinkering? This all sounds like Fast & the Furious/illegal street racing BS but this is how new breakthroughs get developed sometimes. The American car companies sure aren't innovating that much lately or making sound business decisions. I can't tell you the last time ANY member of my family bought a car design from an American auto company. Our experiences with the lack of reliability in the last few American cars we owned (excepting a GM/Jeep in the late 1980s/early 1990s) discouraged members of my family from buying American I hate to say. I have a sister who had a Ford Escort and she grew to hate that car...

I was an early fan of the AWD Civic Wagon (at times, the ONLY fan) and I owned the first gen '85 push button version with the SIX speed transmission (there was an ultra low stump puller first gear than was only in AWD) Having owned an early 80s Subaru GL10 Wagon I was already into the small, econobox AWD wagons, i.e. the Toyota Tercel the Mitsubishi wagon, etc. These cars were an affordable, Swiss Army knife kind of car that were relatively fun to drive, economical, roomy and comfortable and allowed a somewhat limited ability to off road and drive through otherwise challenging road conditions and weather. But they were underpowered and gutless - I always dreamed of tuning them to get more a more usable everyday AWD vehicle with good torque and a decent power band range (and handling to match). A quirky little van shaped AWD baby Quattro that would be fun to drive, reliable and realistic on an everyday basis. I replaced my AWD Civic Wagon with the first gen Odyssey minivan, fully optioned - another unloved and unappreciated vehicle that was fun to drive and roomy, with better than expected handling dynamics, refinement and power but economical to maintain and live with. It was basically the Honda Civic Wagon's big brother, riding on a stretched version of the Accord platform and powertrain. Always thought it would be a great candidate for a tuned AWD and powerplant combo but nobody understood that. That's crazy. Now I see Bisi's 1000 hp AWD Odyssey monster sleeper and now, HOLY CRAP - my beloved AWD Civic Wagon son-of-Frankenstein 700hp dream come true! (maybe 300hp might be more manageable) WTF? Maybe I wasn't so crazy after all. How about the same crazy concept applied to an early 80s Subaru GL10 wagon, hatchback, sedan or Brat? I would wet my pants, seriously!
