Thats not a very big disadvantage anymore.In the early 2000s you had to have those 300+ D Tackles.It was a more power running league.Now teams looking for Sack artists more than LB protectors.Look at 49ers last year. Their whole DLINE was filled with sack artists and below 300 lbs.Fast agile guys that can get after QBs-especially after mobile QBs

I learnt this in college in 09. This scheme works so good if you got quickness, awareness and timing. I had all but strength. I was 185 5’11 playing linebacker. My strength was no where near to get through a linemen.

People say he wasn’t worth his contract due to a down year last year, but people don’t realize that the D line in front of him was letting him down often. Look for a bounce back year with Mike Nolan at DC and the additions of Dontari Poe and Gerald McCoy at DT. Fingers crossed LVE stays healthy as well !!

Even if you don't win stay in that gap it allows me to play my gap all the more harder. The very first play shows a habit that is very risky especially that close to the goal line. That is not a proper block defeat technique inside the A gap. You got to take on that blocker to plug that lane and force the ball carrier to go lateral. If that center was more under control it probably would've been a TD. Those are the small things that contributed to Dallas defense not being that good at stopping the run in 2020 along with a plethora of other things.
