if people spend 6 hours in tricolor with 90% mirror matches, that gives the other teams opportunity to do 6 hours of tricolor matches with no mirror match interruptions which allows them more clout. If the popularity vote isn’t balanced, this will Always happen. so it’s basically a guaranteed loss.

Ya like, im fricken mad because I wanna play against other teams, not my own fricking team. No offense, Saturdays. Why are mirror matches even a thing? If Nintendo doesn’t fix this I swear to cod.

Mirror matches exist so you're not waiting 10+ minutes to find a team to battle against, they want you to be able to play the game and so playing 3 mirror matches in a row is better than waiting for one non-mirror match, putting aside the scoring system since that can technically be endlessly tweaked. They've been a thing ever since the first game, I think it's just way worse now that there's three teams instead of two, players are often spread thin if one choice is too popular.

I don't mind mirror matches if I've picked the most popular team, it's unavoidable. What does bother me are the players that just stop playing whenever it's a mirror match. Fair enough if other players are happy to party too, but if nobody is joining in then they're basically making it a 3v4 and that's not good sportsmanship. Also people who do like to party, quit splatting anyone who doesn't join in, they might be painting to level up gear, weapons etc. or just actually want to play the game! >:/ (I know it's not every player but you get what I mean)
