I have a kit for inkbrush that lets me throw two splatbombs, pop my killer wail, and then let me throw two more splat bombs immediately. Super fun and surprisingly effective.

@@The-Merchandise a LOT of sub ink saver. Basically it’ll lower splatbomb ink needed to a point you can throw two with an (almost?) full tank. Popping the special refills it instantly, and so you can throw another two. Great fun.

Hearing Jay say “the inkbrush has the least painting power” hurts my (former) inkbrush main soul. If you have good movement and rhythm, it is probably one of the best painting weapons in the game due to the density of the paint it leaves.

Ackshully, inkbrush is pretty sick for turfing. It's like a rapid-fire shotgun for your immediate vicinity as you rotate your character...and if combo'ed with mobility, you will annoy your opponents. It has amazing utility for regaining turf and supporting teammates in pushes too! Hard agree on the trigger spam, I've needed to stretch my hands/wrists every few matches. 💀

I've never done this before for any other video, but i think because i main inkbrushes so much, and my gameplay will tend to look similar to Jay's with all the dying, every time he got splatted, my thumb would instinctively press down cause i'd be trying to check the map just to check how it looks turf wise

I never use Inkbrush over the other two because it takes so much more mashing to swing at full speed and Inkbrush's swings just don't do enough compared to Octobrush or Painbrush when you aren't mashing as much as you can to be worth it. Someone else could make it work, but not me. Octobrush is great, though. I'm a little sad there's not a kit with splat bomb in this game, but I really enjoy the Octobrush kits from Splatoon 1 and the vanilla kit (yes I know it had autobomb) from Splatoon 2. Definitely my most used weapon from Splat 1, and while I don't care for it as much in Splat 3, Octo is still my favorite brush.

Get a controller with turbo and extra buttons to use; one ZR for brush down cruising and another on turbo. If Nintendo didn’t want turbo controllers they would not allow third party licensed manufactures to create and market them. Nintendo themselves made the NES Max and NES Advantage with turbo features in the past. It’s not illegal or cheating. Nintendo could easily blacklist controllers in the game code from console detection. Don’t kill your hands, get a controller with turbo. 😂

I’ve always disliked the brushes class until Octo Brush Nouveau released with beakons and ink storm! Holy cow is it fun to camp ledges and plant beakons under them! Museum zones is by far the best map for it imo! 5 stared that baby almost instantly!

Fun fact as a brush main, i roll my fingers across the ZR button like tetris but at a moderate speed so i can reset my fingers, who cares about aim when your hit area is 112 degrees in front of you. And yes i know it’s disgusting but i use a 3rd party controller with analog triggers so its worse.
