So about your question of running out of tears, yes that is possible!! If your body is low on hydration, many functions will shut down, such as water concentration in your urine and even tears in your tear ducts. So in theory, someone could be so sad and so dehydrated, that they would be dry heaving into their pillow for over an hour while wondering where things went wrong, but their pillow remains dry because they didn’t drink any water that day or the day before that!! It is a very unpleasant experience. Or that’s what I’m told at least, haha!!

10:18 ooh ok you talked about tears/crying and i know some fun facts about that so. read up! yes, you CAN run out of tears. think about it, when you cry you're letting out water- that's all water you've drank. eventually you'd just stop crying because there's nothing left to cry! thats why, when you have a mental breakdown and cry, you need to drink water once youre done to replenish all the lost liquids (same with eating something salty but that doesnt affect me as much as the water part) speaking of, tears dont burn your eyes cuz theres a lot less salt in them than something like seawater- when you drink seawater, it tastes REALLY salty- but our tears are just salty enough to recognize them as, well, salty when we taste them theres three types of tears, the first being the basic tears (called basal i think?) youre always making to keep your eye ✨moist✨. the second type is called reflexive tears, theyre made from external stimuli (like being poked in the eye, cutting onions, eyelash gets stuck, etc). the third is called emotional and its the crying that comes from internal stimuli (being happy, sad, etc)! and one more fun fact for the road: despite how often babies cry, they cant actually produce full-on tears until theyre like 5 weeks old

Real quick on crying, yes if you cry enough you become dehydrated to the point of no more tears, tears come from the water inside your body, so if you don't drink enough water ( or any at all) it is very difficult to form tears. So please after crying try to drink some water. I have personal experience with it and being so dehydrated that even when I wanted to cry, I couldn't because I was so dehydrated, it stings a l o t if you try to while being dehydrated :']
