The Cambodian’s are official as far as the Cali underworld scene goes and have been for quite some time. There blood and cuz’s that are different races if you study the history. If you got to SoCal, for example, Pacific Islanders have been b and c-ing since the 70’s and 80’s. It’s very complex here.

California has a lot of Asians, especially South East Asians. Cambodian, Vietnamese, Laos, Thai, Filipinos, Hmong. Koreans and Chinese have their own gangs too. Pacific Islanders also have gangs too. In county jail it's usually still on some street beef but in prison Asians and Pacific Islanders unite, regardless of gang affiliation, into one "car", called the Other Car. Car meaning who you ride or die with. The Other Car is basically the program all Asians and Pacific Islanders roll with, it's other known name is the Asian/Islander Car, but the Other Car can also include Whites in non white gangs like white crips, Non Mexican Latinos like Puerto Ricans, Native Americans, South Asians, and any non Asian in a Asian gang. But who has say on who can and can't join the Other Car will always be ran thru the Asians and Pacific Islanders. Asians and Pacific Islanders are a minority within minorities. In prison the numbers are always smaller compared to Blacks, Mexicans, and Whites. So sticking together with the little numbers they have are essential to their survival.

Never been to prison but from my understanding the Asians/others car is mostly non confrontational with the other races but if they click up it’s usually with the blacks
