I told you time ago- go for this brand. The problem is that this company hasn’t any distributor in the us. Did you also listen Tontechniker big one ? The Line60 is a beast. Great German engineering

Very alive and real sounding, esp from mid and up. Very intelligible, you don't have to strain or work to decipher. Good speaker. 👍

Thanks for all the videos Jay this was a great insite and overview of the Munich show; I also attended the show and appriciate the effort you have made to put all the videos together just simply walking around the show for four days is hard enough let alone making video content and uploading it to KZbin on the go, a good effort. As your viewers can see the show is huge with so many exhibiters, products and differnt brands to see its simply impossable to show everything, so well done sir.

Hi Jay, you were basically listening to the smaller ones. The bigger are the LINE 60. I suggested you to listen to them before you went to Munich. Try to do it please and tell us what you think (if it is not too late).

One of the best speaker brands available You should check them out. Read about the technology behind. It’s not what it looks like. You may test them against your Wilson’s. An there are even bigger speakers than the line60. This is the smallest with that kind of horn design. But a line 35 or 50 will do. That the black one near the entrance. Greetings from Germany

Dear Jay, a couple of years ago, in one of your videos I left a comment that you should hear B&M, it will change your perspective. I sold the first pair in the world of Line50 new version in 2017. I have heard the Line100 in their factory, and its the closest thing to a live unmiked performance I have ever experienced. Another loudspeaker setup that you should most definitely listen to is the PMC QB1-XBD-A monitoring system, which was designed specifically for Interscope Records, and now even Capitol Studios have a set. At these levels of performance, standard high end audio are fun but not accurate. BTW I am the guy who took you to the Brodmann ZenSati room and introduced you to the owner of Brodmann.

He said 40,000 euros in the video. That's an awful lot for the money(in high-end terms). For that you get speakers, amps, DSP and you don't need speaker cables and stands for amps etc. 🤔
@meesmo4
@meesmo4 Жыл бұрын
@@davidtodd9520 that sounds nice, until 10 years later when the built-in amplification or dsp or digital signal circuit dies, and you find that the speaker manufacturer has gone bust and you cant find anyone who can service your speaker.
@davidtodd9520
@davidtodd9520 Жыл бұрын
@@meesmo4 That's true, totally agree. Would apply to anything you buy in life if the company goes bust. This is why I would only suggest buying from a company who has some pedigree. For instance B&M, ATC, Linn and Meridian have all been in business between 45 to 50 years each. Avantgarde with their groundbreaking new iTron active system have been in business for over 30 years. 👍🏻

Really nice sound and well…. Active speakers can deliver. No doubt, now. But I didn’t understand what was the function of the other speakers. Different system? Upgrade? down grade? Not subwoofers, to my understanding. We can hear you chewing your gum, Jay!!!😂

One of the man behind is Johannes Siegler. He owns KSDigital, a studio speaker brand. Both brands share some technologies of course. The movement of all chassis are controlled by sensors. They apply this technology since 50 years. There are many who like B&M, many who dislikes them. I am divided, but I have to say they are getting better all the time. I believe that many of the early criticisms, such as excessive heights, are no longer justified due to the constant further developments, but prejudices have to be cultivated :-) I myself would like to hear the current B&M and make an up-to-date judgment.

The smartest thing is BM Line 50 with Line Subwoofers. The subwoofers should be behind you in the centreline of the room, to compensate for the room notch caused by the width centre line. You can time delay the subwoofer tower behind you to arrive at the same time as the main speakers. The combined room power response of the system, especially due to the linearity in the low frequencies will be unmatched.

Active speakers may pick up on popularity but will never be a common thing in ultra high end for a simple reason - circuits don't like vibration.

Heatd a TAD that was branded as pioneer many moons ago . Was blown away just how good it sounded. Saw one for sale used for 1300 dollars in Denmark. I tried to tell a work college he should buy it. But he said a new speaker is better just becouse its newer 😂

The Germans are so innovative in so many ways; audio, automotive, wine and exterminating life forms they consider threatening or undesirable… and yet the global community continues to pander to them… You think they’ve changed since Kristallnacht and concentration camps? Think again!
