Jays a gong show for 3 years now. Why do you want to keep bo and vlad if you can get serious prospects? Both guys have proven they can’t carry a team to win - look at how many playoff series games they have win. If they aren’t able to carry the team than the only real choice is to rebuild. But before all this talk. Where is the push for firing Atkin and Shapiro? Where are the fans showing they are fed up with this front office (sold out game yesterday for a sub 500 team??). Maybe another front office can retool this team, this front off surely cannot.

Most podcasts only really started with the bo Vlad era. If they go into a hard rebuild I just don’t see how any of them survive. Not being mean but honestly it’s not easy to cover losing teams and fans aren’t as engaged. Of course major news outlets etc are fine but I am interested to see how all the podcasts go. Many of them are young or have other jobs so I’m gonna guess it just becomes a hobby instead of trying to make a limit out of it.

I think that Springer and Romano could be added to those lists of tradable players springers temporary brilliance and we don't know what's with Romano yet maybe Romano Springer and another player to Baltimore they showed interest in Romano before. Tommy John would change that of course

Keeping players would make sense. The Jays have 50 million coming off the books next year. They need a starter, DH and 4th outfielder and a starting catcher. If they add more power in the off season they could win in 2025. Also there's 2 drafts between now and 2026 so opportunity to restock the prospects. Vlad and Bo are not easily replaced even if you get prospects they may not work out.

I do wonder if Vlad is going to go. He's been hot and value is high for a contending team so you never know, if the right deal comes along say goodbye to the teams best and most exciting player. Pls everyone reading this comment look at how Jansen plays behind the plate he won’t frame any pitch even if it clips the zone and that makes umps less likely to give the close calls to our pitchers. Someone like Kirk always tries to frame it and u might not think it helps but you know watch Jansen play and you will see exactly what I’m saying, sometimes he makes it look like it was hard to catch even tho it’s a cm outside the zone. Idk why no coach is getting mad at him for it

Atkins traded a Strohman in his prime for Anthony Kay and Simeon Woods Ricardson, thene traded a coveted starter in Happ for Brandon Drury and Billy McKinney. Even if Atkins gets draft picks, who has he drafted of any value? Fire Atkins before any important decisions and moves are made. If Atkins makes them, the jays will end up with a derek fisher in the outfield, lying to the fans saying hes the next Bryce Harper. FIRE ATKINS NOW!

Why do Newphy's love the Leafs so much? All those people on the trade block, are easily replaceable. Catchers are abundant, a fifth starter isn't hard to find, niether is a DH, don't need KK, the only one semi-valuable is Garcia. BUT the big trades need to be unloading Gausman and Springer. Gaus is figured out by the league, they know how to lay off the splitter and he is helping them by losing speed on his fast ball. Springer is hot, don't let it fool you, he is in a fast freefall with age being his biggest hurdle - get something for them, and relive yourself of the money's so we can turn it into FA's, or trades for next season. Leafs still suck!

Trading Vlad or Bo for prospects scares the crap out of me. Pearson was the Jays top prospect, as were Aaron Sanchez, Tony Alford and Daniel Norris. MLB isn't like the NBA, NFL or even the NHL: the odds of a handful of highly rated prospect turning out to be better than Vlad or Bo (historically) are slim at best.

True, I've been thinking the same. If the Jays had two stars in Triple A waiting to assume the mantle the way Bo and Vlad did, I'd be okay going scorched earth on a rebuild. But there is NOBODY waiting in the wings if they leave. You might just have to resign them so that the Jays will be bad but mildly entertaining as opposed to unbearable.

Hey Peter, your boy Daulton Varsol the paint remover sucks batting average .199 he should retire What a terrible trade by Atkins and Shapiro. Besides he can not hit with any consistency. Also in that terrible trade by Toronto by idiot Atkins and Shapiro .they traded the #1 major league catching prospect Gabriel Moreno who could have backed up catcher Alejandro Kirk . Because After this trade deadline coming up soon they are going to lose catcher Danny Jannsen by trade or by free agency after the 2024 season because he will become a free agent. The Blue Jays should trade Vladdy now they will get the best return for him because he is hitting great.And the Blue Jays are definitely in a total rebuild due to terrible trades and free agent signings!
