Very true. And it happens to all of us. I was in a verbally abusive relationship for years until I figured out it wasn't love, it was Stockholm Syndrome! @@heaven120 it is never too late to meet your “Alex” but i can imagine you just want to live for yourself and your beautiful children without the drama and possible headaches a new relationship may bring along. I am also in shitty relationship at the moment feeling constantly gaslighted, manipulated and like someone is sucking the life out of me. . I am almost 36 without kids so technically still can get out but it is difficult to end sth after 6 years when you still somehow hope for a better future and scared of uncertainty and being alone again. I truly hope you’re feeling better, focussing more on your wellbeing and in a happier a place. Sending love and light your way 🌸✨💕💖

My partner complains and blames me for every small thing that goes against his will. He is more social and want to pretend good to others. People thinks him as a perfect individual. Though he is responsible and mature person, but he gives me example of his parents and ideal couples and want me to behave like them. He has too many expectations like a girl should do this or that and expect me to do things according to him. But m bound and i cant leave him even though we fight daily. Now i have lost faith in love. I am tired of finding true love. I had 2 relationships in my past. This third is also terrible. What should i do? I dont feel like dating anyone now. M totally stressed out.

I had similar issues as yours and I suffered for two months and just got broke up on Valentine’s Day. What I can say is that never please someone just because you love them always stand on what you’re feeling, how is this person making you feel like never think of you treating this person but yourself. The key is to find yourself then right people will fall into the place and even if they don’t you will be great with your own company. Suggesting breaking up because you can’t act accordingly throughout the relationship as what your partner wants to be in a relationship. At first you will be like it’s okay I can be later on, you will be like no I don’t deserve this. Make a wise choice.

Usually that toxic narcissistic bipolar type of partner appears to be a wonderful person in front of others "Wow! Your husband is great! You are a lucky woman." but no one sees the toxicity behind doors. After divorce or break up, people ask "Why? Had he ever physically hit you?" Most people don't understand what emotional abuse is.

I actually dated a man like this before…he was beaten up as a child with a belt and developed an alcohol problem as a result, but one of the most brilliant men I’ve ever met and gotten to know. He would always start arguments, ruin holidays, was quite moody…but also intelligent, caring and meant well. A man like this needs emotional support, a clear understanding of boundaries, and to feel like they’re always the centre of your heart, otherwise they become paranoid and hyper vigilant, often acting out and starting arguments because they don’t know how to verbalisé what they want from you. At the centre of this is a fear of abandonment, so they will leave before you have a chance to, if they think they’re going to abandoned. I was once out with my work colleagues and he had called me 15 times 😂 he was so afraid that I would cheat on him. However, I’m not the type glued to my phone so I didn’t réalisé until I checked later. He also got freaked out at the airport once when I went to purchase something and he couldn’t find me while I was queueing…he thought I had gotten kidnapped…I could go on and on… On the surface, he seemed overly possessive, jealous, and toxic, but I think he just had a lot of worries on his mind, having witnessed the worst of humanity and never fully acknowledged his PTSD, but I know I can still count on him to this day if I were ever in trouble. I thought he was very loving and sweet, and he always had good intentions, but the childhood abuse he had suffered never left him, and it would always come out when he was drinking and he would become extremely testy.

Also remember that finding love and a true connection does not happen to everybody. Always be the best of yourself and enjoy life. Sometimes love and marriage does not happen to all even if they want to and make efforts.

Thanks, this video helped me a lot, I'm almost completely over my ex, but watching these kind of videos remind me that he was not as invested as me or value me for who I was. I know there is someone who is a beter fit for me out here
