I don’t know how often you read through comments. But THANK YOU truly from my heart, for making your videos family friendly - no cursing, no crass jokes etc. My husband and I have two little girls, ages 2 and 3 who love fishing and hunting as much as we do, but as you can imagine most hunting and fishing media is not toddler friendly. Your content is entertaining for every age group and safe for my little babies to watch, in fact they know you by name and will request your videos instead of cartoons. On their behalf - thank you again from the middle of nowhere, Iowa, USA

@WillOnlyCatchTheBest Жыл бұрын
@@Jp19557 Not really.. never seen him get a lot into deep stuff and if he does its about 3-5 minutes nothing more.. when it comes to sonar, gear, how the weather is and affect the fish.. More and more... ive seen a lot better of other guys.. Im not saying that he has not great content but in my opinion he is DEFINITELY NOT the most informative.. I would say that he focus more on giving us guys a nice scenery of where he is fishing, what the species during the day are and so on... I can tell you that if it was that much informative, people would not be coming here that much.. He is giving you more of pure action then anything else.. That my opinion and I respect yours.

Could present to us new gear, put himself in situations where he dont feel as much comfortable as usual trying to teach us new techniques and equipements that we dont know of.. things like that..

Dear Jay, what I I have done on stocked trout lakes before is one dead stick and one jigging stick. The dead stick is comprised of rod holder, hook like you use (octopi), slip bobber and 2 inches slack from rod tip to slip bobber (gives 'em a little better chance to inhale bait). And dead stick is within arms length reach to help keep line tight :)

It's amazing to me how fish can be tracked by year class as the length is so close, though weight may very. Meanwhile, a class of '85 humans can be 4' to 7'2" and 90 pounds to 500 pounds.

Those rods might have been just a tad light to really pin the bigger trout on the jawjackers. Medium rods probably would be better for trout that size.
@oldpolak5203 Жыл бұрын
I've been catching 7 pounders on 4 pound line . Quality drag is key . Big trout are line shy
@Thisnameisnottakenjk Жыл бұрын
@@oldpolak5203 It isn't about the line, it is that the rods don't have enough umph to set the hooks well on bigger trout with the auto hook set style of jawjackers. Trout have harder mouths and with ones that size, I think the reason they lost a lot of the fish on the lawjackers is because the medium light rods weren't getting good hooksets on the jawjackers.

The thing people don't understand about stocked trout is that they revert to regular trout behaviour. I fly fished a lake on 3 separate days over 3 weeks after it had been recently stocked and the stocked trout went from eating every presentations including trout dough imitation flies (which they absolutely loved) to eating scuds and insect nymph imitations, even jumping out of the water and struggling about when you handled them as rainbow trout normally do.
