I believe the lead singer of this also sang, My Baby Loves Lovin. Another one hit wonder his name was Tony Burrows, it was for a group called White Plains.
@bradsmack14 жыл бұрын
Yep, Burrows had an incredible career! Solid work schedule, tons of hits, and no one recognized him when he went out! Tony was also the lead singer of The Pipkins ("Gimme Dat Ding" #9 in 1970), and on "Beach Baby" by First Class #4 in 1974, and The Brotherhood of Man ("United We Stand" #13 in 1970). None....I repeat....NONE of those groups were anything but a studio concoction (after Tony left The BOM, they gelled as an actual band and toured)! In other words, no touring was necessary, because there were NO actual groups!! Tony was the man! Still going strong at 78! Tony's life and career are well worth digging into, not only to discover a talented man, but maybe some new favorite music!

Fun fact: Edison Lighthouse was named after the Eddystone Lighthouse off the coast of Devon England. The band later dropped the Lighthouse and became just Edison. 1970, No. 1 UK, No. 5 US. The Eddystone Rocks on which the lighthouse stands are an extensive reef approximately 12 miles (19 km) SSW off Plymouth Sound, The Pilgrims were the English settlers who came to North America on the Mayflower and established the Plymouth Colony in what is today Plymouth, Massachusetts named after the final departure port of Plymouth, Devon.
