@@zivanajadresic8604 I did not mean to start an argument ... your point is well taken. We are probably just coming from different places. There are some reaction videos that do their homework and that's real nice ... I think I liked his because of the raw, innocent, unpolished fun he is having. I could be wrong - maybe I should be helping him grow; but I am just enjoying him the way he is now. It is good that there are people like you taking the time to help him grow! BTW my favorite videos are my a gentleman named Fil who is actually an analyst - Wings of Pegasus. If you have not watched him, you should try - I think you would really appreciate his work.

After all these years, I still get chills when I hear this song ❤️ 💚 💙 💜 Few Fun Facts: They got their name from some black marines who saw them perform as the “Paramours” in 1963 & they shouted, “that was righteous brothers!” Also, the infamous Cher was part of the backing vocals, before she became famous, & last but not least, heir manager booked them into a black nightclub in Watts, California before they got big, & the patrons of the club started throwing things at them on stage when they saw they were white, & The Righteous Brothers didn't know what to do, so they just started singing, & all the patrons sat down with their mouths open, & wouldn't let them leave after that, & the term, Blue Eyed Soul was born 😃 👓 👓 😃

Phil Spector produced this particular masterpiece. He was responsible for the famous "Wall of Sound" that became so popular during the '60's. You might want to check these out: "He's a Rebel" and "Then He Kissed Me" by the Crystals; "Be my Baby", "Baby I Love You" and "Walking in the Rain" by the Ronettes. Unbelievably good music!

Now you've been introduced to Bill Medley's deep voice. You should react to Bill performing "The Time of My Life". I guarantee you've heard the song but never knew who the male vocalist is. Once you watch the video you'll recognize Medley's voice and realize how cool it is that one of the Righteous Brothers was the vocalist on that classic song.

The names of the two Righteous Brothers are Bobby Hadfield and Bill Medley. They are not related. Bobby died in 2003. For many years Bobby struggled with alcohol and cocaine addiction and it caused a rift between Bill and Bobby. Bill is still alive and performing at the ripe age of 78. He will be 79 next month. I had the pleasure of seeing these two great performers 3 times back in the day and trust me, the fact that they were white and soulful was both a surprise and an awakening for us. The phrase, "blue eyed soul" was invented for these two guys. Although they took a lot of flack from both black and white communities during their time they opened a lot of doors for other white performers to show their soulful side. Try "Soul And Inspiration" by these guys, another really great song by them. In loving these guys so much I think you're ready for Jackie Wilson doing "Lonely Teardrops", "To Be loved", "She's Alright With Me", "Danny Boy", and "Night". Jackie was the greatest singer and performer, in my opinion, in the R&R/Pop era. He could sing anything from R&B to pop to gospel to light opera. However his performance was revolutionary. The called him Mr. Excitement. Every performer you see today stole from his act, including James Brown. Now, Jackie wasn't possessive of his athletic act and he never called these guys thieves, but everyone that does an athletic stage performance, or swings the microphone around or plays with the mic stand stole it from Jackie. Try him out.

@@vanjalavoie550 Yeah. It ruined his voice early on. If you watch most of the late interviews with the two you can see Bobby was lit up. The strain on the relationship was intensified when Bobby was either late, a no show for gigs, or was so lit he was useless on stage. Bill had his issues, but nothing like Bobby. Sad indeed. I saw them twice back during their first days and they were soulful and truly "Righteous". You'd be right if you think I miss those days.

I'm a old white dude who has always loved music. It makes me so happy to see people of all colors enjoying music such as this classic. We hear about racism way too much when all we need to do is just appreciate each other for who we are and what we do, not the color of our skin. My all time favorite guitarist, and the greatest ever was James Marshall Hendrix, or Jimmy Hendrix. If I can suggest a song, please review "If a six was nine". I was about 10 when I first heard this song. Jimmy lashed out at treatment he perceived by breaking down barriers, but at the same time it proved that others, even though another color would fully support him including Eric Clapton. Was it because Jimmy was black, or because he was considered a hippy? While some back then saw him as a treat, I saw him as just the greatest guitarist alive, and by the way he was also a Vietnam veteran. RIP Jimmy

Hey, young fellow, don't feel bad that you haven't heard of these guys. Everyone has to go out and hunt for the performers that were big before they were born. I enjoyed finding people I'd either not heard of, or heard of but not appreciated. Have fun my friend, you are going to find some truly amazing music.

I love to watch you young guys hear the songs we listened to and loved when we were young. it's like the same reaction from a new generation and that is what makes a song or singers, not just good, but great.

I love watching young people get hip to really great old music...its priceless!! Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield aren't actually related. They were initially named something else, but while performing for some African-American soldiers, someone commented "these brother's are Righteous!!" They loved it , so they changed the name of the group (which consisted of 5 people) Just some trivia! You did an awesome job with this...thanks for sharing!!!‼‼👍👍💜💛💚🧡❤🌹🌹🌹💐💐💐
