Have you ever seen such a happy group? Crowd, musicians, singers are all having a ball, and it was on my birthday. 😭 Wish I could have been there.

Oh my days..how utterly BRILLIANT is this..Jeff Lynne is so underrated..so many people still do not realise how epic his songwriting and vocals are..not just for ELO but other artists and if course The Travelling Willberrys.. yrs ago in the 70's my friends brother was a carpenter in Worcester..(West Midlands, Uk).. he was contracted to help build a house for Lynne and his family..we were invited to a massive party he threw for ALL those that worked on his house and their families.. I actually met him..and he is sooo down to earth..no airs and graces.. a quietly spoken man and a good sense of humour. .I was already a fan of his music so for me I actually got to meet my idol and I was not dissappinted.. he mingled with everyone ! Didn't hide away and was a fantastic host. Obviously he now lives in LA.. but I'd love to have been at this concert..I think they could do a world tour and still sell out twice over.. Evil Woman is one of my favourite..great lyrics..i doubt he's ever written a bad song..some say Diary of Horace Wimp is poor but listen to it..its very very cleverly written.. he still has his voice because he hasn't toured and used it to death so its exactly the same..being able to reach those high notes..and it IS him singing those as recognise the Midlands accent which he still has bless him.. love his music..why he is not knighted amazes me..much better than the likes of Jagger ..just wanted to say what a nice guy he is..I saw the documentary about doing these concerts after so long away..he was nervous wondering if the tickets would sell😄😆.. but still quietly spoken. .a very private man with an amazing talent.. oh and typical Jeff Lynne NOT blocking the video from being seen..🇬🇧💞🐾🙏👏👏👏👏👏

@@nataliebriant3947 I know but I remember when it was a hit some dj's were saying its a weak lyric but its just so cleverly written..not just the lyrics but the movement of them throughout is brilliant .. obviously I'm biased as I'm a fan ..honestly dont think he's ever written or sang a bad song..love handle with care by the travellung Wilburys too

I was a big ELO fan when I first heard them in the 70s. Then....sometime in the mid to late 1980s...I was at a slot tournament in Reno. I saw an ad for ELO Part 2 on the wall of the parking garage...& assumed it was just a tribute band. I think I paid $27 for a ticket ( this included 2 FREE drinks...)....& it was the original group WITHOUT Jeff. They played everything & sounded great. I didn't know who Jeff was. I don't think I knew any of the original members back then.

I love your channel bro. ELO is an experience like no other. I saw them at Carnegie Hall with The NY Philharmonic. It was beyond words and the sound was just incredible. I have to say your reactions are exactly what the artists had in mind when making the song. You definitely get it and you are fully tuned in with the best music ever made, especially the 60s and 70s. It amuses me cause the reaction you have to many songs are EXACTLY the same reaction I had many, many years ago. You got an old soul brother and to this day when I hear Teddy Pendergrass I still think of how blown away you were to the power of Teddy P. vocals!! Keep it coming and keep up the good work! I look forward to your reactions every day!! You're a smart man who actually understands and gets it cause I have to say anyone growing up these days is being cheated when it comes to music. The quality and quantity of the music out on the airwaves in the 60s and 70s was beyond compare. Nothing can touch those 2 decades from the rock, soul , R and B ,progressive, disco and even the pop top 40 stuff. It was all great!!! The stuff they call music these days is absolute shit, its garbage ,lyrically and musically bankrupt! It totally lacks the feel, groove, soul, vocal strength, harmonies and musical prowess of what I grew up with. There are pockets of great lyricists, musicians and singers today but it doesn't scratch the surface of the depth we had in the 60s and 70s..You also won't find much of it on the radio, you are only permitted to hear what the program directors and record companies want you to hear. Jeff Lynne is in his 70s and still packs stadiums and sounds fantastic!!!

Love this group. ELO had their biggest hits in the 70's-80's & mixed modern rock pop songs with classical overtones. Jeff Lynne wrote most of their songs. They had a lot of great hits such as "Roll Over Beethoven", "Showdown", "Can't Get It Out Of My Head", "Strange Magic", "Livin' Thing", "Telephone Line", "Rockaria!", "Do Ya", "Turn to Stone", "Sweet Talkin' Woman", "Mr. Blue Sky", "Wild West Hero", "Don't Bring Me Down", "Shine A Little Love", "Last Train To London", "Confusion", "Hold On Tight", "Twilight", "The Way Life's Meant To Be", "Here Is The News", "Ticket To The Moon" etc.

I was shocked to read that some people think "The Diary of Horace Wimp" is "poor" - wow! It's a great love / life story told in just a few lines, which is particularly emotional if you can relate to Horace. Another gorgeous track to check out is "Wild West Hero". Looks like you haven't reacted to "Hold on tight" or "Calling America" either! Those are the only ones I can think of that you haven't already covered - and really should. Great live performance - spot on. I was only able to afford to see a cover band, but they were amazing. I guess they'd been touring for decades in ELO's absence, so had plenty of time to perfect their act.

Had a ticket to see JL'sELO at the O2 in 2020, was so excited, as I'd never seen them live, and I fancy the lady backing singer like mad (Melanie Lewis-McDonald. Be still my heart) - then along came the lockdowns and the cancellation, and who knows if I'll ever get to see them now? But yes, you do need to watch every song from this concert, and buy the live album too. Anything to persuade Jeff to get the gang back together.
