This type of music is called 'Ska' Ska is a music genre that originated in Jamaica in the late 1950s and was the precursor to rocksteady and reggae. It combined elements of Caribbean mento and calypso with American jazz and rhythm and blues. Ska is characterized by a walking bass line accented with rhythms on the off beat.

I am so glad you found Madness. they have been bringing happiness to the UK since the early 80's and are still loved today. They are massively under-rated in many ways, because they gave off the persona of being silly, fun, mucking about , and just mates having a laugh, their music is often not as appreciated for what it is. There are numerous tracks of theirs to discover, and i would think each one will make you feel as fine as this one did. They are a cure for bad moods, feeling down or just a rainy day.
