If you haven't played spiritfairer i HIGHLY suggest it. Obviously due to the type of video he couldn't comment on all the good things about the game so I will. Gorgeous and diverse art style, a simple yet deeply touching story, easy to learn and extremely fun platforming, engaging and not-too-complicated resource management. And lastly the soundtrack and audio design is the icing on the cake. I know the $30 price for an indie can seem intimidating or unnecessary but I tell you it is worth your time and well earned dollar.

Thank you for posting this. I stopped being a hardcore, active gamer sometime during the PS2/Gamecube era. I've been struggling for so long on and off trying to get into games but it's just been really difficult for some reason. Over the past month or so I've been feeling that desire to get back into gaming and I'm trying to explore all different sorts of avenues to figure out what I truly like and also what I don't like. Indie games are promising to me as I grew up on old school games and I have had a hard time trying to understand and figure out many modern triple A games. There are some interesting looking titles on this list that I'll need to check out.

What?...there literally no way to lose. What do you mean too long? You walk out your house select a hoe, dig, plant, water, done. The worst thing that could happen is on the third year your dead grandpa will be disappointed if your farm isn't really good. Who cares you can literally play forever
@Slinky_Loki19673 жыл бұрын
@@logansaxby7224 They literally pointed out why they found it overwhelming. Maybe its just me, but why with so many of these indie games - especially in the Super Giant games and the Metroidvanias - is the player character TINY? It's honestly somewhat nauseating trying to keep track of my little lump of pixels in a sea of chaos. In Super Metroid and SOTN, your character was big and stood out. I have never understood the trend of miniscule main characters nowadays.
