Those Valkyria games go on sale a lot, too. It’s pretty common to see the first and fourth game combined for $10 or less.

I'm grateful every time anyone mentions Astral Chain. I'm not sure I'd call it a hidden gem but it definitely doesn't get talked about enough. In my opinion it's a 'must play' exclusive for the Switch and it's right near the top of my wishlist of games I hope get sequels on the Switch successor. It is a really strong game that is a little rough around the edges but a more polished sequel that builds on the foundations of the first game could be an all-time great action game.

SO2, Triangle Strategy, Astral Chain, Prince of Persia and Unicorn Overlord aren't "hidden." Unicorn Overlord is very popular and it sold the most copies on the Switch.

That is still less than 2million, which is the main highlight of the video. 500K may have been great decades ago, but the budget to make a standard video game has gotten a lot more expensive relative to price per unit not going up that much. In order for earnings to double the budget, 2 million is the new common goal post.

You sir, are doing the Lord's work. Astral Chain is criminally underrated. It's my favorite title on the switch simply because of how surprising it is. I was not expecting such a fun game with so much content. And like you said, the art style is really cool. One of the best OST's ever. PLAY ASTRAL CHAIN GUYS!!!!

Three of my favorite games on the switch are Chained Echoes, Triangle Strategy and Unicorn. All have great replay value!

On that note, neither is Unicorn Overlord or Star Ocean 2 Remake featured in the thumbnail. More people are less likely to know/remember about Enter the Gungeon or something similar than some of the ones seen here.

Great list and I've played all of them 😁 but I'm still waiting for my physical copy of chained echoes, It became one of my all time favorite rpg. Astral chains is such a great game if I had the time I'll do another run right now because I didn't play since I finished it when it released, but I have so many game to play, right now I'm playing mario and luigi but I need to finished yakuza, romancing saga 2 remake dq3 remake and then the games in my backlog too.

You are so wrong for saying "13 Sentinels" has a weird battle system! It is great and very related to the story. Defending your base against the attackers is superb when you get it, which you obviously didn't.

I've played unicorn overlord, valkyria chronicles 1 &4 and 13 Sentinels. I thought unicorn overlord was alright, but I really liked and recommend the Valkyria chronicle games and 13 Sentinels.

I would swap Astral Chain (that sold over a million copies) with Suda 51 games like the No More Heroes 3 and Travis Strikes Again NMH games! Very underrated and underappreciated games in my opinion.

Star Ocean is an odd series for me. I love the series but it's hard for me to enjoy the battle system especially when it comes to the more recent games in the series

Chained Echoes was my second favorite game I played in a year where I also played Tears of the Kingdom, Prime Remastered, and Future Redeemed.

This list isn't the cream of the crop you have too many series staples not on here in favour of generic third party ports like GTA 😂. Mate open your horizons to Xenoblade, Fire Emblem, Splatoon etc

I've always been so confused by the extreme hype that reroll game gets....its not some mind blowing, amazing game experience so many people seem to suggest it is. Its literally just a cute little game about rolling things. Its like over hyping candy crush or some Facebook games or something. Very strange.
