@@caestorel She is underrated because she is NOT: media thirsty, skinny, bleached, naked, vulgar, autotuned, beefing with some fellow artist, and talented. We don't support our beautiful, talented, sisters and brothers unless they are everything Jasmine is not. These other "artists" can have their fan base and do well. I'm not hating, everybody got their supporters. But how come we don't see or hear Jasmine, Leela James, Algebra Blessett, Vivian Green, Ledisi, Chrisette Michele (she took that Donald Trump gig cause she had bills) and even Jill Scott on our TV shows and radio? Unless they are paying tribute to another artist we don't honor and support them. Then the record labels drop them and they fade away or hustle on the road. WE as black people don't support our own. Although charts vary, top selling tours last year were Guns and Roses, U2, Justin Beiber, Mettallica, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and Adele. With the exception of Beiber and Adele, these other groups have not had new music in a decade. Top 2017 Rap/Hip Hop artists were Kendrick Lamar (he was number one on this list but ranked 25th on the above list), Jay-Z, J. Cole, Drake, Future, Chance the Rapper and Travis Scott. While bands traditionally make more than most solo artists and always book the large arenas, the freaking Rolling Stones made over $100 million last year on tour, haven't made a chart topper since the 80's (last album in 2016 of their own covers) and no member is less than 70 years old! Even on Wendy Williams, Steve Harvey, BET when are these artists booked? Black radio? Do you hear them. Don't think so. Whew! Sorry about the soliloquy but these are the main reasons our talented artists are underrated: no support, no recording deals, no visibility, no love. Just to clear, I own and buy wealth of music from almost every genre but I love and support my unsung and underrated black artists more passionately. Great music will never grow old.

I'm on the other side of this spectrum! Where I brought home the bacon, had to cook it,then do the dishes! Then worked at night driving a truck, accepted 20ish kids as my own, allowed them to stay till they got on their feet, rent free I bought and maintained all vehicles"2" While she didn't keep a job, started a women's social club instead, which gave her excuses to nightclub, while I worked, then labeled me selfish if I didn't want to go out Every Weekend,I was tired from working plus self maintaining a household. And I remember telling her if she looked forward to clubbing with the girls instead of Spending quality time with her husband We're headed for disaster, cause you're acting single at clubs and some man is gonna holla at you!...And it happened then her club members tried to demote her in her club, that's because she disgraced what they stood for,Strong wives that did back to school events in the community! Not flirting in night clubs with biker and other social club members. I had an accident and we went to a therapist and she told me she'd made a mistake and promised this guy to leave me for him and he became to demanding! I forgave her but told her this was strike 2! Too late now, clubbing without me was in her blood After 3 years of separation The Divorce was final this June,She never showed up or called, and when she did she called demanding a car she never made a payment on and she'd had an accident in at 3:00 am,so insurance and note was mine anyway so after repairs it was turned over back to me And only one of the kids contacts me on occasion! Moral to the story, theirs male and female narcissistic dark spirited soul less people in our society, examine and question any thing that don't set right with you.😶

Thanks! Being a man or person of GOD allowed my wife and family to return the favor of what I done and it took me having my Big truck accident and not being able to gain Unemployment insurance and then no one stepping up and causing us to be evicted from our place, then she electing to stay with a daughter opposed to moving with her husband and her father in law, this was the cause of our separation! So yes the Lord gave her a chance to right her wrongs, she made her Choice,So now I'll let him have the wheel to guide me to a spiritual woman, cause we can't save and change a mate! And by your pleasant comments I feel you're a Blessed person of GOD yourself! Stay Blessed my Sister
