Hey guys!
It's been a while, but here's a lesson for all you Jazz Cats. Triad Pairs form the basis of some of the fundamental sounds we hear in the greats, particularly in Modal Jazz tunes like So What, Impressions etc. In this lesson, we take a detailed look beyond the generic sounds available and how you can make this your own thing.
Hope you dig and do SUBSCRIBE for more!

Eb/F, C-/Bb, Eb/D-, C-/Db-, F/G, C-,D, F-/G-, C-/D, F-/G-, F-/G, C-/Ddim, C-/Bdim, Ab/G, Db/G, C-/Bb- are some useful triad pairs over C-. I spent some time on this (thank you Jazz Duets!) & also used a half step below or above any of those triad notes to create 4 note cells which makes for some superb tension/release ideas. I wrote several pieces though didn't record them. It's easy to spend a whole lifetime on this stuff...;-))

Anthony, thanks for another great video. Your channel deserves to be on all Quora/Reddit/etc. lists on "best" bass content. I appreciate the simple ideas to practice the instrument delivered in a very clear and concise way. I found your channel a couple of weeks ago, and I'm happy to see that you are still creating new content. As others have said, your attitude and skills as a teacher give your channel energy that others can't replicate. I usually don't write comments on KZbin, but thought I would leave you a note just to say how much I appreciate your videos (and I'm sure that there are a lot of other silent subscribers like me that feel very fortunate to have access to little pieces of materials like this one).

Inspiring. I remember in the 70's, triads were a scary unnecessary thing. Chords were ok, as was melody. Great content.

Hi Anthony, I hope all is well with you and that you're staying healthy. I'm curious, is that sustained chord that you're riffing over a backing track of sorts or how are you using a program like Ireal pro to play that?

"Still fumble" isn't what you were trying to say. All these exercises are just things we do then move on. No one sits there going through the same old tired scales everyday with the same routine. It's all stepping stones, once you've done it then you integrate it and move on.
