Some of my most impactful lessons have come when my bass hasn't even been in hand; this video ranks up there with those moments. Thank you, Paul. Go Giants....

I have yet to NOT LEARN something from your videos. I’m grateful for this. Very much so. I especially appreciated “simplify”.

Great info I have not played the upright since high school and I was not a good at reading notes so I play by ear but the breathing and the looking into the crowed is what I will take from this vid and put it to work at my next open mic Thanks a lot

I miss visiting Pittsburgh. I haven’t been back for many years but I have very fond memories of watching the fireworks on fourth of July coming off of the river barges.

Brilliant Paul, the stuff your covering on this list can apply to anyone on any instrument or vocal for that matter. I look at things as a song or composition. Simplicity. Thx

been looking around forever for a channel with content like this for jazz bassists. I've found numerous channels for every other instrument besides bass but bass "quick tips/perspective" channels are nowhere to be found. Thank you!

Half notes on a bossa😁 Simplicity of a bass line in tandem with a good drummer makes the groove sit...Enjoyed this video, thanks again! ETA "Open your eyes...Breathe" Yes, you don't have a verbal conversation with another human being and keep your eyes closed the whole time, right? Open eyes=giving the music to someone else...Ditto with breathing, which includes inhaling AND exhaling...😎✌🏾👍🏽
