I love Nickelback, always have. It's not just their music for me though. Some may think they are cheesy but I find their music videos are well constructed to help tell the story behind the lyrics of many songs. Some examples that stand out to me are "Savin' Me", "Never Gonna Be Alone", "I'd Come For You", "If Today Was Your Last Day", "Far Away" and "Lullaby". So for me it's a listen & watch experience, not the music in isolation.

@@JazzRockswithAdam If you do, I suggest you do the live performance from Wembley 2015. I also suggest you have the lyrics or captions available just to follow and appreciate the poetry of the lyricism. Most importantly, be sure to watch the WHOLE video to the end. The singer Floor Jansen, is considered by many to be probably the greatest female vocalist on Earth and is often referred to as The Valkyrie Goddess Queen of Metal, while Toumas Holopainen the keyboardist and founder of Nightwish is often called The Metal Mozart.

I believe there are two types of song. Songs that were done well and songs that were not done well. Where by Nickelback wasn't done well. This was my first time listening to it. I think Nickelback could do the same song today and it would be much better. The production on the verses was pretty bad, and the vocals were not great. I know they got better. It's their first album. I find it interesting that the comedian who started this all, however... today is the first time I've ever heard his name. I'll probably only ever hear it again in the context of how Nickelback became so popular to hate. And to be honest, from his demeanor and the way he talks, I not only don't think I'd find him funny, I think I would not enjoy his presence as a human being.

They where the shot fired over the bow with the music industry pushing their music tastes on the public! Their songs where great but the public was sick of it being push so hard on them. I’m not the biggest fan of Nickelback but they do have some songs I like. Imo Nickleback is a modern version of Def Leppard....and vice versa. Both bands started out really good, but got more and more commercial with each new album to the point the music seemed artificial and less authentic. It became “fraud rock”.
