I have a suggestion: keep your videos to under 20 minutes ( when you react to a song), because many viewers will find you only if you show up on their YT feed. Many, like myself however, will use the YT search engine to find certain artists, and reactions to them, with the use of the filters that YT provides. My filter choices include videos between 4 and 20 minutes long. That means your videos will never show up in my search results. When I find you it's because you show up in my feed (I only watch Angelina reactions). I can't be alone in using the YT search function and setting the time limits as I wrote above. So I think you lose potential viewers when you exceed 20 minutes. Just sayin'.

When listening to Angelina, tissues are always needed. Her voice is so calming, it gets into you and wraps around your soul like a warm blanket in winter and it can get overwhelming. To go with your character of Angelina, on her dedication and commitment, she has done quite a few charity performances; she's always ended up having a cold or sore throat. Each time they tell her she can cancel, but she never does. She fights through it and you can hear it in her voice the way it cracks or strains.

We truly understand what you feel. She IS special and you get to experience more of that for the first time with each song that we have listened to hundreds of times. A lot of angels have this as their top NGT performance, but, for me, the next song, "Summertime" is extraordinary. Saw you getting emotional there at the end. Know the feeling all too well! Sometimes it's thinking about her brilliance but seeing her humility and grace. What a toughtful reaction, Aron...I think Angelina deserves this kind of reaction for being so dedicated to her efforts to surpass herself with each performance, in terms of her vocal technique and her unique way of channeling the message of the lyrics in such an artistic and emotional way. One commentor awhile ago said they wished they could sing like DIMASH. And I replied respectfully, "No you don't!" Because of the huge responsibility and commitment it takes to maintain and develop a public and private persona along with the amount of time and energy to work at the craft. Same for AJ. Especially as a child, young girl and now young lady. The American music industry is filled with voracious WOLVES. They gobble up artists and spit them out. But AJ's family appears to be supportive and protective while managing her exposure and career commitments. I still can't mentally absorb her ability to express such complex musical scores and interpret lyrics like a 40 year old, burnt out, lounge singer.

I think all reactions are subjective, that is an interaction between the reactor and the performer. As such they say as much about the reactor as the performer. Sometimes it is like watching someone play poker. Othertimes reactors share much and open our eyes to aspects of the performer that we may have missed in our own perception. Aaron, her love is so genuine our heart has never experienced feeling anything like this before in our lives. Over exaggeration? No, not at all. She touches us deeply and her voice is her instrument to make it all come together. Goosebumps, tearing up with urge to cry and finding it difficult to speak normally during or right after she sings for us are the indications our heart is sending messages to the rest of our body about how special she is. People who enjoy listening to music have become mesmerized not only by her voice but by 'who she is' and have adopted her as part of their family. Sister, daughter, grand daughter, great grand daughter and, yes, great, great grand daughter, all of them are spread all over the world. Yes, Sara was overcome with emotion because she knew what was about to happen. Aaron, she is now 18 and closer to her mother than ever before and her unyielding love is shared with everyone in her life, particularly grandma Mery, sister Juliette and uncle Michael. Many of us who have been 'around the block a few times' have seen the world around us change and realize it is time for the new generation to start pushing all the buttons, passing the baton, if you will. But, since we have discovered Angelina and our love for her is so astounding she has given us purpose in our lives, to not only enjoy listening to her sing but to watch her influence people with her love and everyone of us do what we can to introduce her to those who have yet to come aboard. As an Angel myself (7+ yrs) I'm almost jealous of you for what you are going through now. Also, you have nothing to apologize for. You are making amazing contributions to our own experiences in reliving these performances from Angelina. BTW, did you notice during this performance, her connection to the guitar player? You will also see that in her next performance, with the accompanying trumpet player. There are also videos showing her in rehearsals for these performances where you can see that she is very clear about what she wants. In reference to her family, you will eventually react to one of her original songs, "Shield" (age 12) which shows she is fully aware of how protected she is and how blessed she is for having such a family.

In my opinion, as just a music fan, this song can't be sung any better than this version by 8 year old Angelina. Even Angelina in more recent versions, doesn't capture the sad emotion as well. I'm no professional, but I've noticed Angelina has complete control of her vibrato. Depending on her needs, she can make it fast or slow, wide or narrow, breathy or clear, and even unique with a microsecond break between each modulation.

Welcome for the third time to the angels. All of us have shed tears at different times for Angelina and her performances, And not only her music, but for who she is as a person, so humble and compassionate. The judges comment about her family was more important than you know. Her family has protected her and has been her shield throughout her career. At age 12 she performed her original song Shield, which is about that very topic and her appreciation of her family protecting her. After her appearance on AGT when she was 13 and 14, she received multiple record deal offers, but her family had decided to protect her from the industry and let her be a normal child, at least until she graduated school. She is beginning to be promoted a bit but still is going it slowly which I believe has kept her stable and well-balanced. It's frustrating for the angels, but it's a beautiful thing for Angelina. Yes, Angelina very often gives you your favorite version of iconic songs. She has the ability, as you’ll see more and more, to express melancholy better than any singer I’ve ever heard. She also has the ability, even at this age, to capture your attention from the first note and just mesmerize you with her authenticity for so many genres. You’re now getting Angelina, not a channeling of Billie or anyone else. Her arrangement, her subtle riffs and slides, her incredible lower register, her immaculate timing, her ability to make you feel-not just hear- the lyrics. Hard to believe a child can be one of the best interpreters of lyrics you’ll ever hear, but you really haven’t seen nuthin yet.

She has still a little difficulty with the language at this point so in the moment she might remember the word to be life instead. This was the first performance I saw of Angelina and I was absolutely stunned by her understanding of the music. It's a very simple song, as you said, but the soul and simplicity she put into it simply blew me away. Like you, I found her subtle intensity absolutely unbelievable. I think that the judge, Omar Batti, said later: We didn't know if it was talent or a girl cleverly mimicing Billy Holliday until this song. It was when Angelina told the guitarist how she wanted him to play this song they really understood that there were something else about her. (Not exactly his words, but as I remember it).

Thank you for your reactions to Angelina. It is fantastic to have genuine commentary from a jazz musician because you will appreciate some of the jazz inspired nuances that others may have missed. I have listened to all forms of jazz throughout my 76 years of life. For me, it is the magic created by the interwoven melodies and harmonies along with rhythmic ear treats that keep jazz as my favourite musical genre. That Angelina settled on this complex musical form at such an early age is truly amazing and a fabulous treat for the whole musical world. One of Angelina's quotations was this: "If there was no Billie Holiday, there would be no Angelina". This is Angelina paying her due respects to one of her musical influences and her astounding musical growth. It should not need saying that she has also listened extensively to other jazz singers and for a child that young to like and appreciate jazz is in and of itself a wonder to behold. Her love of jazz has helped her to be experimental and to bring her own take to all that she sings. As you rightly indicate, she made this song her own and that is one of Angelina's defining and enduring trademarks. She is happy to be musically exposed by slowing things down and simplifying the arrangements so that only her voice and her incredible sense of complex timings is on display. You will see this in all of her later works. The next treat in this musical journey touring Angelina's musical development is that classic aria from the 1935 opera, 'Porgy and Bess' with music by George Gershwin and lyrics by DuBose Heyward. Many would have said that this song is way too big for a young girl of Angelina's tender years. Her version will surprise you. I look forward to your take on that final performance in this competition.

What an excellent reaction my friend! I’ve been listening to her for about 4 years now. Nothing gives up a me more joy than to see someone else experience Angelina for the first time. You are 😅just beginning to experience a genius vocalist Angelina. You will really love her version of “Summertime “ that she sings in the final episode. After that checkout her interview with Anne Lindmo. She talks about her book she wrote, she explains why she doesn’t ware shoes and she also sings “ Unchained Melody “. I believe she is 8 in the interview. It will melt your heart. Again, nice reaction.

So adorable! I first watched her perform at AGT in front of Simon and was shocked! She was 6 years older than here! I started then(5 years ago) to listening to reactors because of her. This way I also discovered Dimash Morissette and Diana Ankudinova. Even though I am a Dear, I think Dimash didn’t sing so well at this short age! And singing jazz! Another old soul packed into a little girl! And she is also so humble. Her story of why she doesn’t wear shoes while performing, (I think she does now), the facts that she was the youngest girl in Norway to write a book … she is one of those persons that appears once in a life time! Thank you for all that you do for our personal Angel. Most reactors do not play the judges comments. When I first began my AJ journey I watched the entire NGT program series including back stage rehearsals and every other contestant so I could better understand what this little girl was put though. I watched all of it several times. Her rehearsal in a conference room with several tv and music people for her final performance of Summertime. And she is requesting how SHE wants the trumpet to sound and how she would like the production to be arraigned. Also, thanks for your intro and explaining your performance breakdown. Like you I’ve been asked to judge car shows and having on a few and now retired still do my own body and paint so I know what I’m looking at. You can pick out a few imperfections, but still love the overall presentation and the effort put into the project. I don’t point things out as a critic, I explain how it could be fixed and what to be careful of in the future.
