I must say the pianist has really absorbed Buds’ style and the trumpeter has absorbed Fats. I’m happy to know musicians are keeping that tradition alive

This is a refreshing and positive perspective potrayal of Bud Powell dispite the negative and discouraging information on the gentle and genius Powell. Bud's contribution in the jazz scene canot be discounted and jazz has inherited so much from him . To me this is a tribute to the man who's jazz language was understood by disciplined and knowledgeable artists as well critics. He surely made the artworld an exciting and creative place.

Bud Powell is the real symbol of the Bebop piano the same as Charlie Parker is the real symbol of the Bebop alto saxophone. Everyone has a teacher or mentor so was Bud, Monk was that influence. Well done guys this is an excellent presentation of Bud Powell's music. AWESOME!

Vol. 4 of the Blue Note run seems to have a special swing to it, his RCA recordings are also insanely underrated

I think it’s great what you are doing to showcase Bud’s music. I’m a bassist and study guitar and piano. I’m retired now but itching to play more. I have read books on Bud and many other great jazz musicians. Thanks for posting
