It is very personal, I am very excited to be here in Brazil singing here with my husband for you. I never said that on stage, but I have to say, why the thing we do here on stage and with you in the audience Are the most beautiful thing in the world, because it is full of humanity, just that. A few years ago, I had cancer, I was quite young, it happens. It's all right. Now, but later ... My husband was by my side the whole time, it was very difficult, sad and very beautiful. Because it`s a very strong relationship between us. And then it was well again (after the cancer). And Jim asked me, what I wanted in my life, was talking about the things that we want to do in life [remembering] I was a language student when I was a child, young, because of my grandfather. And I always wanted to speak the Portuguese language, but I didn't have it at the university where I was studying. So I left, and studied Italian instead of Portuguese. {audience laughter} OK. It was ok. Then after that illness, Jim asked me, what did I want to do? What do we do? Because we are alive, because we are still here. The thing I wanted more than anything was to speak Portuguese. {laughter, and applause} This is true, I am not saying just because I am on a stage in Brazil. It is a true thing (looked to Jim to agree the information}. So we are adults touring around the world in more than 50 countries I called my agent back in Boston, I said "no more giggs" We go to school, and Jim and I went together for 3 summers, and decided on ... {didnt understand the name of} college. To study with the students they were 20 years old, and we were 40. It was a little weird, but delicious. When we get there, you have to sign an oath no words in English for 7 weeks. Imagine, I was in a room, on a campus with my husband in a small room with this man without being able to speak a word in English. For 7 weeks, why we were looking at each other. And we decided that we could communicate without being able, without using the language (laughter) There's a very famous photo at home, with Jim, with a hat that he created in the first night (written) help me, I looked in the dictionary. ok, end of this story. We are here, well, together, alive, with you, singing this song that is one of the most beautiful songs in the world whole, by Antonio Carlos Jobim, in Portuguese, is indescribable. understand? {applause} { hugs Jim } { thrilled }
